A second compilation of rarities and oddments from The Revillos! vaults! So many years after the demise of The Revillos, can there be any music rotting in the vaults that hasn't already been regurgitated? I thought we had pretty much exhausted our spare tunes with the From the Freezer CD back in 1996. But, shortly before he passed away, I convenedwith guitarist Kid Krupa to review some of our still-parked material, and we were encouraged enough to the exercise. As we made our selection, the brief we gave ourselves was to not present yet more versions of our already over-represented songs like Motorbike Beat or whatever, but instead to showcase as many rare, bizarre, unreleased out-takes or alternative versions as possible. This compilation has only been possible by sifting through every one of my boxes of tapes from the shed and the attic to rediscover such oddities. I also checked tracks from some other band members and associates. Understandably, the sonic quality of most of this material reflects its provenance, yet their patent rarity warrants these tracks' inclusion: indeed, almost all the material is culled from solitary existing cassette sources. With a lot of damage, including glitches, drop-outs and missing sections, many of these performances were only preserved owing to the digital diligence of Kid Krupa; plus post-production work by myself and Vince Santini; with further mastering tricks squeezed out by Turan Audio in Oxford. The band line-up was quite fluid across the timeframe of these recordings, which were captured between 1979 and 1994 but, generally, Eugene contibutes vocals and sax, Fay sings and plays Farfi sa and I play Premier drums on all tracks. Additionally, all songs feature Kid Krupa on guitar and Vince Santini on bass unless otherwise noted. Backing vocals are supplied by Revette Cherie, joined by either Babs or Drax - except for Scuba Scuba and I Wanna Be Your Man - which feature Frankie and Polly Revette. So - ladies and gentlemen of the jukebox jury - is this project a val...

Two brand new tracks by The Courettes on PINK Colored Vinyl. Both tracks will also feature on the band's next album, The Soul Of... The Fabulous Courettes, in slightly different form! "We worked with Richard Gottehrer, who for us is like a songwriter god!" says Flavia. "He worked at the Brill Building and co-wrote 'I Want Candy'. A mutual friend played him 'Keep Dancing' and he left a message on my phone saying, 'I love your track and I really dig the lyrics'. He ended up mixing 'Keep Dancing' and 'Boom Boom Boom'." "Because I'm the one most responsible for the lyrics, I actually allowed myself to open up to some personal things," admits Flavia. "We lost both of our fathers. My father died of COVID. But my relationship with my father was non-existent. He abandoned me and my sister. It was a very difficult relationship and it's not so easy for me to talk about it. 'Keep Dancing' is about his death and how he still has a power over me and bringing me down and what it's like to break free from that. You know, some parents are cruel." "It's a special subject to sing about and to make pop music out of," says Martin. "It's actually celebrating moving on and I think that's really fantastic. 'Keep Dancing' is absolutely smashing." "Life is so fragile," smiles Flavia. "But what are you supposed to do? I'd rather dance."

Debut LP from The Guy Hamper Trio! For fans of Booker T & The MGs, James Taylor Quartet, Georgie Fame, Big Boss Man. Groovy Hammond garage rock instrumentals from Billy Childish (Thee Headcoats/CTMF etc) and featuring James Taylor (Prisoners/JTQ). Q & A with Billy Childish:Q: We're loving this new album by The Guy Hamper Trio! Who's in the band sunshine?A: Mainly myself on guitar, Julie on bass, Wolf on drums, and of course Jamie on Hammond. A great bonus is Thee Headcoats with Bruce and Tub guest as rhythm section on a track or two.Q: You and James Taylor go back a long way. Do you remember how you first met?A: The Prisoners were a young group who played with us (the Milkshakes) in the early 1980s. One day they turned up with an organ player, Jamie. Jamie used to then borrow my Selmer guitar amp to play through. Q: You've revisited a few old classics on this album, and given them a true makeover. How would you describe The Guy Hamper Trio's sound?A: I guess there must be a derogatory term for it but I might need some help finding it. In the very early days of The James Taylor Quartet (Wolf was their drummer back then), I was in the Natural Born Lovers (A blues group with Big Russ and Sexton Ming). We used to be the support for them. I really liked their sound and I guess The Guy Hamper Trio is not a million miles from that blues-influenced, film soundtrack vibe, man. Thereyou made me say "man". Next thing you know I will be saying "cool!" Let's just say it's a wizard sound, Jamie is such a great player.Q: Prior to this album The Guy Hamper Trio's sole release was the `Polygraph Test' 7" from 2009. Why such a big gap?A: It takes time for all of us to get all our solders in line. "Get on with it mush! And trifle not, your time is but short!"Q: What inspired the album's title track All The Poisons In the Mud?A: It's actually the title of a novel I've been writing, and rewriting, over the past 12 years, and is taken from a quote from I Claudius by Robert Graves - a formative influence on m...

Fabienne moved to London in 1996, almost immediately joining the Bristols, a then studio project consisting of Liam Watson and Ed Deegan, two producer-engineers at Toerag Studios. After two albums, a few singles and several tours of Europe, the Bristols came to an end. Eager to carry on singing, Fabienne went solo in 2004. With the help of Liam Watson producing, Fabienne recorded her first album No Time For Sorrows concentrating on a more elaborate but similar style she had previously experienced with the Bristols.

The Senior Service returns with a brand new 10" EP for 2022. A year or so ago, The Senior Service decided that it wanted to add a little more to its well-honed instrumental sound. On one slightly drunken night out, they approached local songwriter and chanteuse Rachel Lowrie and asked if she'd like to perform guest vocals on some specially written new material. By this time, Rachel had supplied impressive 'pipework' on quite a few Medway records so the band was confident that she'd be able to deliver - the band was right.Following a lengthy hiatus in activity due to lockdown restrictions, The Senior Service was finally able to get together to record the new songs, so they piled into Ranscombe Studios to crack on. It soon became apparent that they'd lost none of the chemistry that had made them such a powerful musical collective and the instrumental backing tracks were laid down with relative ease. It was when Rachel arrived and sprinkled vocal sugar over the tracks that they really began to shine! Intuitively, she understood the approach needed and delivered a made-to-measure performance for each song. This collection includes four original tracks penned by the band plus two rollicking covers of lesser-known instrumentals; John Schroeder's take on 'Lovin' You Girl' - a slinky slice of lounge grooviness, given a slightly chunkier sound, informed by the band's musical aesthetic, and 'Mysterious Land' - The Chris Lamb Orchestra's little heard filmic masterpiece; a track seemingly tailor-made for the band to get its musical chops around. So, we invite you to spend 'A Little More Time with The Senior Service'.

Punk classic reissued on limited edition coloured 7"! First ever reissue of The Unwanted's second and final single on Raw Records. Originally released in late 1977. Formed in March 1977 in London they played under their original name, SMAK, for the first two months, including the recording of the Live at the Roxy LP, before settling on the name of The Unwanted and playing at many of London's Punk hotspots, The Man In The Moon, Marquee Club, the Roxy and the Vortex.Although a highly entertaining live act, consistent line up changes resulted in a stop-start career. Members came and went including bassist Dave Postman from Flowers Of Romance, drummer Robbie from Peroxide Romance and those who went on to greater things, Robin Wills (later to the Barracudas) and Vince Ely (to the Psychedelic Furs).Their debut single 'Withdrawal' (on Raw records) was a superb slice of ramalamadolequeue, but the album they craved, and deserved, would never happen. The rest of the year was spent sporadically touring, before a second single, and a complete image overhaul, occurred at the start of 1978.'Secret Police' (again on Raw) was a loping sub-reggae single and most fans felt short changed after their original full on punk attack. The band continued on for a few months more supporting their long time friends Siouxsie and the Banshees and X-Ray Spex whenever the opportunity arose. However in May, Ollie's past caught up with him as he was given a six month prison sentence for stealing a union jack flag from a flag pole in Bromley the previous June. The Unwanted were no more.OLLIE WISDOM - VOCALSMARK CURZON - GUITARPAUL GARDNER - BASSDANNY DESTROY - DRUMS

From the ashes of the thriving underground punk scene in Brighton in 1979, a band of songwriters called The Smartees emerged. They never made any records but after their demise one of the guitarists, Carl Evans, approached bass player Helen McCookerybook to ask her if she'd like to write some songs with him. He'd already set one of her poems, Food, to music, and they played their first gig with just three songs, each of which lasted just over two minutes: you can hear Food, Sweetie and Boasting on this compilation. The Chefs original drummer, Rod Bloor, contributed the seeds of the song Records and Tea before returning to his native Manchester. Soon, augmented by James McCallum on additional guitar and Russell Greenwood on drums, the songwriting duo started recording for local label Attrix records, firstly two tracks on their Vaultage 79 album, followed by the Sweetie EP and then 24Hours which was championed by BBC Radio 1's John Peel, who invited them to do a session. A residency at The Moonlight Club in West Hampstead, London, tempted them all to relocate to the big city, and a move to Graduate Records saw the re-release of 24 Hours. Graduate also commissioned the album tracks included here, which were languishing in the band attic and have not been released until now. The band split up in 1982, heading in different musical directions: Helen switched to guitar and formed Helen and the Horns, Carl formed Yip Yip Coyote, Russell joined John Hegley's Popticians, and James left the music industry. In our short three years we'd spent hundreds of hours writing and rehearsing our songs, recorded three sessions for the BBC, appeared on two compilations, piqued the interest of top pop producer Pete Waterman, and played countless gigs around the UK. We thought we'd been together for thousands of years! We hope you enjoy our music.

A new album by Medway's premier alt-folk outfit The Singing Loins! Yes indeed. We caught up with Rob Shepherd to find out more about their brilliant new LP Twelve_ Q: "The new album is called Twelve. Could you settle an office debate - is it your 12th album or have you called it that because it has twelve songs on it? (We thought Here On Earth was your 12th but not according to Discogs. Also, our ability to count accurately has diminished over the years!)"A: "A bit of both. Course, there's the 12 songs, but then, depending on how you count, it's also our 12th album (from 91-98, there's the 1st 4 LPs that Damaged Goods collected together on The Complete & Utter - that's a comp though, so we can't count that eh - then there's At The Bridge with Billy, so that's 5_..we can skip Alive In Dunkerque as well cos it's a live album....then there was 2004-13 where we made four more with you, then in 2019 we got back together and made 13 Moon Songs From Merry Hell, released on the Vacilando 68 label...so that's 10_and then we did another record with Billy, The Fighting Temeraire_ so yeah, that makes this one number 12)." Q: "The album has features newly recorded versions of several Loins classics. Was it a difficult decision deciding which back catalogue songs to record?"A: "No, pretty easy - it's basically the 12 songs we enjoy playing the most with the current lineup. Saying that, it's been a bit of a meandering road getting to this point. Since Brod passed away, Arf & me have done few nights of Loins songs - and it's felt good - celebrating the songs we all wrote together - so that started the selection process. Oli, Arf's lad, joined us on percussion and then Rich, who Billy had introduced to us, joined on violin - then Chris came along to play the drums, so Oli switched to guitar - and through all that we were refining the set of songs, and we got a point where we felt that, yeah, we've sort of worked out how to do this (you know, respecting and celebrating our past, without coming on like a tribut...

Superb 45 featuring two Hammond-led instrumentals! We caught up with Mr Guy Hamper for an insightful Q&A_ Q: What a cracking single this is! 'Instrument of Evil' in particular has a very eerie vibe. What was the inspiration for it?A: The track is the sequel to '7% Solution', which featured on the last Guy Hamper Trio LP with Thee Headcoats standing in as rhythm section. A 7% Solution being the amount of morphine Dr Watson administered to Sherlock Holmes. For 'Instrument of Evil' I took Sherlock Holmes' later designation of his syringe as "an Instrument of Evil". This is originally a quote from the bible: "Wicked men do at times reject God's purpose for the state, transforming the good of civil government into an instrument of evil." Point of interest: Morphine addiction happens to tie in with another aspect of the song. In the section that nods to Elmer Bernstein's main title theme to the film of the book The Man With the Golden Arm, in which the main character is also a morphine addict. Another ingredient - we added six-string bass to that section in tribute to Jet Harris - he formerly of top group The Shadows, who recorded a great version of Bernstein's classic. To top it all off the record sleeve references the fine graphics of the great Saul Bass. Phew!Q: The track features contributions from Tom Morley (trumpet) and Anna Jordanous (sax). What's it like working with them?A: They are great and easy to work with. I basically make a playground and let them loose in it with very little direction, apart from pointing out the swings and location of the roundabout. I told Tom "You're a Spanish trumpeter stood on a hill in Spain." For Anna, I think we said "go low and nasty." Q: On the flip side you have 'Incense Rising From a Censer'. A very evocative title for an evocative track. Do you have lyrics in mind for this for a possible later release?A: No lyrics have sprung to mind as yet - but it's always possible. The title is from The Elders observation in Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov, a b...

A new pressing of THE COURETTES classic `Back In Mono' LP on PIC DISC VINYL!The Courettes proudly present their third album, Back In Mono, now available on picture disc LP! The album cemented their place in the garage rock firmament. Its "spit 'n'snarl garage rumble-meets-Phil Spector pop" showcased the band in top form - great songwriting skills, Spector-esque arrangements, with broader nuances, influences and production qualities added to their garage rock recipe. Fourteen Wagnerian teen-trash-tragedy masterpieces - it's as if The Ronettes and The Ramones were invited to a wild party in Gold Star Studios' echo chamber. Fuzz guitars, loud drums, trashy pianos, jingle bells, tambourines and three-minute dance floor garage killers where a Wall of Sound blasts the songs out of the speakers!Produced and recorded by Soren Christensen at Starr Sound Recording Studios in Denmark and mixed by top producer/wall of sound aficionado Seiki Sato in Japan.

Third studio album by Graham Day & The Gaolers! Their first in 14 years! It's been a good time recently to be a fan of Graham Day. Last year saw the release of "A Little More Time With...", a 10" mini LP by The Senior Service, as well as his recent debut solo album, The Master Of None, (released on Acid Jazz). There's also been a string of hometown reformation gigs with the Prisoners, and a US tour with the Woggles. And now this! Damaged Goods asked Graham a few questions about the new Gaolers album_ Q: This is the third Graham Day & The Gaolers album. It's been 14 years since the last one, why the long gap?A: Blimey, is it that long? We never "finished" the band, but with Dan living in the USA it's always been difficult to get together, and we've had to rely on touring to make it worthwhile flying him over. I think we were all feeling a bit tired of touring, my 'day' job got increasingly intense, and we sort of put it on hold for a while. We were set to record the album in March 2020, but then Covid hit so we lost a couple of years.Q: How did you first hook up with Dan Electro from the Woggles?A: I met Dan in 2000, his band the Woggles were supporting the SolarFlares on two nights of a German tour. The first night they blew me away, and we went on first the following night, no way I was going to follow that again! We stayed in touch, became great friends. Dan was over in London 2006 ish, I'd just finished playing bass in the Buff Medways, and Dan suggested we start a band together with Buzz the Woggles bass player. I had an album's worth of material and they flew over and we recorded the first Gaolers' album in 2007.Q: One of my favourites on the album is 'Don't Hide Away'. What inspired the song?A: Covid divided a lot of people, everyone had their own views and different attitudes to risk. Don't hide away is about those friends and family that were so scared they locked themselves away, some of whom still have never returned to social circles. I just wanted to put it out there that there...

The undisputed kings of garage rock are back! It's been 22 years since the last Headcoats album, but now Billy, Bruce, and Johnny return with a brand-new studio album! Recorded last year at Ranscombe Studios in Rochester. Billy, Bruce, and Johnny kindly answered some pertinent questions_You got back together recently as Thee Headcoats Sect to make the 'Tribute to Don Craine' EP. What was it like working with each other again after all this time?BILLY: It was 'fab' and 'gear.'BRUCE: The weirdest thing for me was how weird it wasn't. It was like time compressed, but to the 'good old days', early on. I was wary that it 'wouldn't be like Thee Headcoats', but it was.JOHNNY: I'm with Bruce and Billy on that one. I think we were all surprised how it all just worked. If I remember correctly, we kicked off role playing like we detested each other. Then we got started and well, you can hear the result. What were the first songs you ran through when you got in the studio?BILLY: That's a very good question. No idea.BRUCE: I can't remember. They all sound the same to me.JOHNNY: Bill had stuff on his phone that went "KSSHHCCCKSSHHHH"! So, we did that first. You've also paid tribute to Don with a track on the Irregularis album - 'Oh Leader We Do Dig Thee'. He was, along with the other members of Downliners Sect, a big inspiration to Thee Headcoats. When did you first become aware of his music and what was he like to work with?BRUCE: We were given (or possibly lent) a reissue of the Sect's first LP around 1977, marketed as 'Punk From The Vaults', which certainly floated our boats and definitely popped our corks, due to the somewhat aggressive yet carefree nature of the tunes and sound in general. Ollie, our old bassist, found an ad in a trade magazine for them with a contact number for a Michael O'Donnell, which I excitedly called almost immediately. T'was none other than Don his'self and we managed to convince him into venturing down to Rochester to record some tunes with us which be...

Thee Headcoats and Ctmf go head-to-head! Two Billy Childish bands battle it out with versions of the same song! Thee Headcoats version is taken from their forthcoming new studio album "Irregularis: The Great Hiatus". The Ctmf version is exclusive to this release. Q: Two versions of the same song by different bands. Has each band heard the other version? If so, did they pass judgement? A: No, neither group heard the other version. I had forgotten how the Ctmf version went - even though it was only a few weeks past. As with all the LPs there's no rehearsal. I play the track - we do a run through and then press record. I don't remember how either version goes now. Q: There's a famous saying - "Talent borrows; genius steals". Are you a borrower? A stealer? Or something else entirely? A: As I've said before, I follow strict music industry guidelines and only plagiarise 50 percent of my material. Kurt Cobain put it better - he said people thought he was original because he didn't let on what he was ripping off. Though we know he got the riff to his most famous song from The Daggermen, a local group Wolf (our drummer) played in. Q: What was it like recording with Bruce and Johnny after such a long time? A: We met up in the studio in the morning, had a cuppa, a chat, plugged in and recorded the LP (in two days.) It was the first time we'd all been together in about 30 years, and it felt like yesterday - just laughing and joking about how rubbish we were and generally having fun. It was like no time had passed at all. Q: Love the sleeve picture for this 7"! A lot of people miss the humour in your work, does that frustrate you? A: I'm not frustrated but surprised that the British seem to have lost their sense of humour somewhat - they've been pretty po-faced since 1978, I think. I was brought up on Pete and Dud when I was a kid. Interestingly a lot of comedians seem to like what we do. Stewart Lee has always been a fan and he said there are others of his ilk. If something can't be mocked or laughed at, I'm not that interested in it.

The new studio album by Billy and CTMF features Billy at his song writing best! Includes covers of Richard Hell and Jimi Hendrix songs, along with a newly recorded version of 'Bob Dylan's Got a Lot to Answer For'!We asked Billy a few questions about this mighty fine album_Q: Great album title! It will seem counter-intuitive to some but why do you favour failure over success?A: If the Pop Rivets (the first group I was in in 1977) had been "successful" in the formal sense, then it would have been a disaster - no learning about sound, growth, and independence. Luckily, we considered ourselves successful from the outset by doing what we wanted the way we wanted. We believed the hype of punk rock - do-it-yourself and lived it, unlike the "successful" leaders of the movement. I've always wanted small gigs where your open and exposed. The same with recording - excitement, mistakes, humour, and hopefully joy. The reason to become "successful" is to cut yourself from your origin and roots. In short, we'll decide what success is, not a critic, the world, or public opinion.Q: The album opens with a cracking cover of Richard Hell's 'Love Comes in Spurts'. You've previously recorded this with Thee Headcoats on Brother Is Dead_ But Fly Is Gone! from 1998. What made you want to revisit the song? Has Richard heard it? If so, what did he think?A: I forgot that we did it with Thee Headcoats. If I had that LP, I'd give it a listen. I do remember covering it live with The Pop Rivets in 1978. Richard said he liked it a lot and told his girlfriend he only wants my tunes at his funeral. I said, "not too soon I hope." He assured me he's well.Q: We're digging the instrumental track 'Walk of the Sasquatch'. Is this track in honour of the North Kent Sasquatch Research Group? What do you know about that mysterious organization?A: The track is more about the pacific Northwest cousin of the English version (the Woodwose). The North Kent Sasquatch program has gone a little quite of late, but I believe they are still tryi...

In memory of Chris Broderick of the Singing Loins, who passed away earlier this year, we present a new studio album by Wild Billy Childish and Arf and Rob from The Singing Loins. The Fighting Temeraire contains new songs, old songs re-worked, traditional songs and a Bob Dylan cover. HMS Temeraire was a 96 gun ship of the line, built in Chatham, as was HMS Victory. After the passing of their dear friend, Chris Broderick, (lead Singer of The Singing Loins), Billy, Arf, and Rob decided to get together and record a 45 in his memory. The single 'Song of the Medway' soon led to this full length LP. The Billy/Loins connection goes back to the early '90s. Billy had recorded the first two Singing Loins LPs in his bathroom back then, as well as an LP of folk variations of his own tunes with Chris and Arf. It was Chris's dying wish that the boys should continue the Singing Loins, so it was pretty much a given that this fine LP would come to be. At once ancient and modern, it is a fitting tribute to a great ship (and singer) of the Medway.

There is also a mass of complimentary instruments, in particular the Mellotron is a welcome and worthy addition to many of the tracks. In Memory of Chris Broderick of the Singing Loins, who passed away earlier this year Damaged Goods proudly presents a vinyl reissue of this Medway folk classic!A re-issue of one of their favourite early releases and a rather overlooked classic album, a one off collaboration between Billy Childish and legendary Medway folkies The Singing Loins. This was recorded in 1993 when Billy was in Thee Headcoats and The Singing Loins were in their first incarnation. The Singing Loins formed in late 1990, a two piece band playing "Authentic raw folk from the Medway Delta". They were Chris Broderick on vocals/stick and Chris 'Arfur' Allen on guitar. They had recorded two classic albums before this both of which were released on Billy's own Hangman records. The album features a few Childish classics reworked including 'You Make Me Die' and 'Every Bit Of Me' as well as 4 tracks written by Billy & The Loins especially for this album.

Billy & The Loins reunite for a tribute 7" to founding Singing Loins member Chris Broderick!Billy recorded the first two Singing Loins LPs with Chris Broderick and Arf' Alan in his bathroom at May Road, Rochester in 1991 and 1993. The lads then decided to record an LP of folk variations of Billy's own tunes, called At The Bridge. The Singing Loins then went their own way recording many LPs. Fast forward to late 2021 and the singer Chris was diagnosed with blood cancer. Before his passing in January 2022, he let Arf (and later Loin Rob), know that he wished them to carry on the group. That said Billy proposed a memorial 45 (and an LP to follow). "Song of the Medway" is about their hometowns of Rochester, Chatham, Strood and Gillingham, all on the banks of the River Medway. Chatham's ancient Dockyard was where Nelson's Victory was built. "The Broken and the Lost of the Old Long Bar" celebrates a drinking hole on Chatham High Street (which once boasted more pubs and brothels in a single mile than anywhere in the world). Especially written by Billy for this return of The Singing Loins, the songs are at once brand new and ancient.

An 18 track compilation featuring the best of Croydon's punk and post punk scene 1977-1985!Are They Hostile? Is a new documentary film about the Punk, New Wave and Indie scene in Croydon in the late '70s and early '80s. It takes its name from the first single by Croydon band Bad Actors. To coincide with the film's release Damaged Goods Records are releasing a compilation vinyl LP and CD featuring bands from in the film including Johnny Moped, The Marines, The Daleks, Case, Fanatics and also bands such as The Straps who played Croydon many times usually at The Star Pub in West Croydon. The CD version also features a specially recorded introduction by the legendary ex-Croydon Greyhound DJ Peter Fox.It's been argued that Croydon was the birthplace of Punk in the UK, largely due to The Damned and Johnny Moped. But there was a group of other, less well-known bands who were part of that scene, or who came just after, but who didn't achieve the same success or recognition. The film and album attempt to set the record straight by shining a light on bands such as Bad Actors, Case, The Daleks, The Heroes and Fanatics. The music still fizzes with the energy and enthusiasm of youth and the punk ethos of just doing it. And the participants, if a bit older and slightly less slim than forty years ago, come alive in the current interviews as if connected to the mains. As the saying goes, "old punks don't die", but they do remember. The documentary film takes us through the history of these bands, the people in them, the places they played and, through current interviews with "a bunch of old punks", what they did next, and how formative and important being in a band was for them growing up.The film is the brainchild of Bad Actor Griff Griffiths and Mark Williams and will premier at the David Lean Cinema in Croydon on 2nd September with a Q & A afterwards by Griff and Mark, and an aftershow party nearby with special celebrity guests TBC.Griff explains: "It's also a film about being young, being passionate, being...

The Daggermen all went to Rede Secondary School in Medway, Kent. It was a school for those that failed their 11 plus, or who passed it but decided to go there anyway (as Jon pretends). Being in some of the same classes we became friends and found we liked the same music; The Who, The Small Faces, The Kinks, The Beatles and The Jimi Hendrix Experience. We started going to Carnaby Street, wearing Beatle boots and generally being a bit Moddy. Dave's older brother, James Taylor, played organ in The Prisoners and we'd listen to cassette tapes of them along with other local band, The Milkshakes as we bounced on the trampoline during P.E. After watching both bands play live in local venues such as the M.I.C. club in Chatham we formed The Daggermen, working out who was going to play which instrument as we stood next to the now demolished school sports hall. No one can quite remember who thought of the name, The Daggermen (it was me) or how comes Jon was playing bass on a guitar in the band at the very start and then Terry took over when we started gigging (it was because he had a real bass guitar and a car). But the next thing was that we were supporting The Prisoners both in Medway and places such as the 100 Club in Oxford Street. Then, one sunny day at around the age of 17, I bumped into Billy Childish walking across a field. I formally introduced myself and told him that he should definitely come and see our band that night because we were "fucking brilliant". He did turn up and bought us a tray of whiskies whilst we were on stage, a sure sign that he had liked it. This led to him and Russ Wilkins, bass player in The Milkshakes alongside Billy, asking us if we wanted to record an E.P. for Russ's label, Empire Records. This was our first ever recording called Introducing The Daggerman which was made in a brick arch under Rochester bridge that we rented for £2 a week to rehearse in and lovingly referred to as 'The Hole'. We got ourselves a "manager" (our mate, Vic Templar) and started playing up and d...

Johnny Moped's "lost album" from 1990, finally gets a reissue! I like this album, Johnny hates it. But why? I think it's more "Johnny Moped" than any other album out there. What other album has entirely penned JM songs/ditties like 'Soldiers' and 'Moped crash' plus ad-libs and all the other little interludes in between the tracks that are pure "Moped". Johnny thinks it sounds like a "disco" album, which it does in places, but, hey-ho, it was 1989 and it was the age of Stock, Aitken and Waterman. At the time there had been no Moped band since 1985-ish and certainly Slimy hadn't been in the band since the early '80s. Also, there was only one album out there, Cycledelic so there was a lot of songs destined for a follow up album that never happened and it looked like we were going to be a one album band. So, with so much unreleased material and a chronic lack of "mopedisum" I decided to embark on a little project_ This album came out in 1990 on Deltic records but the deal was that I had to produce a finished master tape that could go straight to the cutting room and be pressed, so I borrowed a 4-track Teac and a Roland sampler and Roland drum machine and got to work. Some of the tracks sound like they were recorded in someone's bedroom, that's because they were, but Captain recorded some great stuff on his 8-track where I had recorded Johnny "live" and handed over a tape for him to work with ('I'm a Spasm', 'Soldiers', 'Cut across Shorty'). Also, he provided some decent backing vocals on other tracks ('Corpse Boogie', 'Hiawatha'). The album came out in 1990 and to promote it we put the band back together... in a different format. The Johnny Moped Big Band did a series of gigs where we started with two guitarists, bass drums and Johnny for three songs and then swapped to different musicians during 'Wild Breed' for another three songs. Then we'd bring the whole lot together for the rest of the set. The photos on the back cover are taken from the "live at the Cartoon" video. Notice Johnny's original Moped jacket ha...

Brand new studio album by The William Loveday Intention! As part of an incredibly productive year by one of the world's most productive and cherished artists, Billy Childish releases a new LP by The William Loveday Intention as part of his attempt at "a career in a year"."The Baptiser is titled after John The Baptiser, Christ's teacher who proclaimed that you don't need to make blood sacrifices in the temple of Jerusalem to have communion with God - it's direct one to one in the desert, wearing a camel hair shirt and eating the fruits of the honey locust tree. The LP has many spiritual highs and blaming lows. Brand new studio album by The William Loveday Intention as part of their "career in a year"! "The cover pic is from a visit I made with my son and friends to the artist Giovanni Segantini's hut in the High Alps sometime around 2016. Segantini (1858-1899), was an illiterate and stateless artist famous for his paintings made in the Engadin. The title track is about living your life through someone else's YouTube channel: a blow by blow account of how their life in the frozen north is more, picturesque, sensitive, fun, enlightened and artistic than yours could ever be.'Stood Upon a Chair' is about the villain Jessie James, but without the romance part that is usually added to such tales.'You Gotta Move', a Mississippi Fred McDowell cover, is one of the best recordings we've ever made. Here I'm accompanied by my wife Julie and my friend Dave Tattersall who plays electric slide guitar. A true gem which should make someone, somewhere, rich and famous. (Or at least make Mick Jagger blush with shame.)Topping it all off we hit a couple of old Headcoats numbers with added verses that reveal the hidden depth behind those impeccable pop songs." - WILLIAM LOVEDAY 2022

'Becoming Unbecoming Me' is the story of a Jewish girl in Austria who changed her identity and married a Nazi to escape the death camps. 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' is our version of Bob Dylan's version of 'Too Much Monkey Business' by Chuck Berry."

Available on a limited edition black vinyl 7", it features four killer pop-punk tracks, just what you'd expect from the prolific pen of Steve E. Nix. "I'm a punk rocker who loves guitars and interesting songs. I really like The Godfathers" says Steve.Steve has been putting out quality underground music since 2000 when The Briefs released their first single 'Poor And Weird'. After four albums, a slew of singles and relentless touring, The Briefs took a well-earned hiatus. Never one to stay still for long Steve almost immediately formed and fronted The Cute Lepers. With Briefs' bassist Kicks on board and a rotating cast of drummers, guitarists and back-up singers The Cute Lepers continued to tour across the US and Europe and released three albums, all on Damaged Goods Records, along with a bunch of 7" singles. In 2014 The Briefs started touring again and also began work on an album, Platinum Rats, which was eventually released by Damaged Goods Records in 2019. The Briefs are currently planning dates for 2022.

With That Band You're Aiming To Do A "Career In A Year". What Made You Want To Make A Ctmf Album In The Midst Of It? A: "I Think You Must Be Confusing Me With Somebody Else. Also__It's Good.Esso: It had a definite identity maybe - it was amovement that attracted people who didn't feel part ofthe mainstream, and so once finding a home didn'twant to leave it, in fact remaining loyal to that thingthat they felt saved them. When you formed the band back in the `70s didyou expect you'd still be making records 40-oddyears later?Pete: no not at all, I think i imagined i would be retiredand living in a mansion by the age of 30.Nigel: No, I thought I'd be living on my country estatedeciding whether to drive the Aston or the Bentley andthrowing rocks at the neighbours.Esso: Not at all, twenty years old - 40 years was adifferent world.

Kiss My Ring is the fourth full-length studio album from London-based rhythm 'n' blues garage rockers, the follow-up to 2017's Goin' Back To Wurstville. It features fourteen tracks, a mix of brand new original compositions and the band's eclectic choice of covers. The album was recorded at London's legendary Gizzard Studios by Ed Deegan (Holly Golightly). The band truly represents the best of multi-cultural London, the members having a mix of Caribbean, French, Japanese and Spanish heritage. With a repertoire influenced by many of the great songs of the '50s and '60s made to sound fresh and new to modern ears, you won't be able to help but move your feet when the Cumberland Three are blasting out of your speakers. The King howls like Screaming Jay Hawkins with Bo Diddley chasing his coat-tail whilst Andre Williams tries to offer up some of his bacon fat, and the Trashmen do the Surfin' Bird behind him. This is a man that never stops shakin' and twistin' and groovin'. The Cumberland Three (former members of punk rock bands, including The Parkinsons) rock up a storm with their own branded mix of vintage rockabilly, desperate rock 'n' roll and stomping soul, with fire, energy, gusto and, above all, fun!The band has played pretty much everywhere in Europe, plus Australia, the USA and Japan, and more recently in China (Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Wuhan, and elsewhere from big cities to rural villages), the Middle East, Turkey, and recently the South Pacific, and have shared a stage with the likes of the Standells, Pretty Things, Trashmen, and the Mummies, to name a few. You might have catch them starring on BBC's TV series UK'S BEST PART-TIME BAND (presented by Rhod Gilbert), and they also have 2 songs in the soundtrack of the Hollywood movie Death Race 2050 (remake of Death Race 2000) produced by the legendary Roger Corman!Equal parts rock 'n 'roll and soul, with a healthy dose of blues and rockabilly and a good bit of punk rock attitude, Kiss My Ring is a record you NEED in your collection!

Fabienne Delsol's new album Four is a culmination of a year or so's activity at Toerag studios. The big change this time around is the co-production by Fabienne alongside Luke Oldfield, himself a long-time engineer and producer at Toerag. Though swathed in the same toil and tears of her previous three solo albums, Four has a more nuanced and mature sound, rooted in psych whilst retaining some snappy French pop and '60s garage styles of auld. There is also a mass of complimentary instruments, in particular the Mellotron is a welcome and worthy addition to many of the tracks. The contemporary and original songs 'I'll Never Be Lonely Again' and 'See How They Run' are masterfully crafted for Fabienne's distinct delivery, and both feature a strong '60s groove in-keeping with her trademark sound, the latter being a contender for the highlight of this classy album. As is archetypal of a Fabienne Delsol LP, carefully chosen covers are lovingly interpreted via Fabienne's delicate voice - take Lyme and Cybelle's 'Follow Me', itself a wonderful heavy-handed garage-folk jaunt, or the stunning take on the Human Beinz' second album opener 'Face', a spellbindingly solid piece - praise indeed to the assembled players on both. A lifelong devotee of "the Quo", it's no surprise then to hear Fabienne tackling a Spare Parts album track, only here 'When I Awake' is pared-back and sparkling, whilst Francoise Hardy's smouldering French classic 'J'ai Fait Du Lui Un Reve' is reimagined with a sumptuous air of the ethereal, with stark emotion in that voice and slowly building up tonal layers as the track progresses - you'll struggle to hear anything as haunting this year.

Brand new album from Medway's finest psych-beat combo! Heritage can be a harsh mistress. Ex-This, formerly of That. Past acclaim - particularly when it's attached to some of the most visceral and elemental rock 'n' roll of one's generation - can become both a help and a hindrance; impossible to shake off but crucial to continued acceptance in the fickle world of pop music. Not that this is any concern of The Galileo 7 of course. As the title of their sixth album proudly proclaims, There Is Only Now, and this record is nothing if not Now! From humble beginnings 10 years ago as a DIY outlet for Allan Crockford's songwriting ambitions (he was rarely afforded such luxuries as bass-wielding anchorman of The Prisoners, JTQ, Prime Movers, Solarflares et al) The Galileo 7 has evolved into a powerhouse live act delivering the kind of lysergically-inclined technicolour garage-rock rarely witnessed these days; one born of experience, exploration and an enjoyment of one's own craft. Following a period of fluctuation, the present line-up stabilised around Crockford (vocals, guitar), Paul Moss (bass, vocals), Viv Bonsels (keyboard, vocals) and the busiest man in garage, Matthew 'Mole' Lambert (drums, vocals) - yep, there are a lot of vocals in the mix here and the record is all the brighter for it. The G7's long-players since 2016's storming "live in the studio" set Live-O-Graphic have carried way more clout as a result of this newfound energy, breathing fresh life into Crockford's songs as the songs themselves delve ever more skilfully into a pool populated with Dandyish psychedelic pop, British Invasion muscle, new-wave sparkle and that ever-present Medway magic. "I wanted to make an album a lot quicker this time," Allan explains. "The last one took nearly two and a half years. This one has been written and recorded in less than a year, which is pretty good going for us. This time we were rehearsing and recording the songs pretty much as soon as I'd written and demoed them, and I think it has a unified feel that I really like." The approach to capturing the group's hot sound on tape remains the same. "The tracks would go down on 8-track tape then be transferred onto my digital multi-track, then put on the computer at home for all the overdubs and mixing. I'd like to record in a 'proper' studio for a month with an engineer, lovely 2-inch tape and vintage compressors, but this is a budget operation!" Ah, the tracks - a more panoramic, dare we say eclectic selection than we've heard before from the G7. The pastoral psych-pop moments are more colourful, the crash-bang-wallop gear more dynamic, the riffs sharp enough to take your eye out. "I don't know if 'challenging' is the right word," he continues, "but in the context of this kind of 'garage' sub-genre we all get lumped into, it's almost like we're taking a risk by doing something a little different, quiet, slow, odd, proggy, whatever. We're just a pop group, in the original sense of the word, so if I accidentally write something a bit different we'll have a go at it." For the first time all four members are featured as lead singers. "I wanted everyone to sing at least one song on this album, mainly because I get sick of hearing my own voice for 40 minutes. I'm probably the least accomplished vocalist in the band. I think having different vocalists and some 'different' songs on the album makes this album a better listen as a whole - it was definitely easier to come up with a decent track listing that varied the pace and feel." "Improvising on a theme of doubt," Crockford sings on 'The World Looks Different Today', yet There Is Only Now is possibly The Galileo 7's most satisfyingly determined record yet; its sonic peaks and troughs bound together by four people singing and playing in unison, and from the heart. And doing it loud. Andy Morten Shindig! February 2019

Time flies! It's three years since the band's last album, "It's A Real Cool Baby", but the band have been busy in the meantime. Since then the band have had successful tours of the UK, Germany, Holland and Scandinavia. They've had prestigious slots at Blackpool's famous Rebellion Festival, recorded radio sessions for Marc Riley's BBC 6Music Show, and played a storming set at Damaged Goods 30th Anniversary show at London's Koko last September along with touring with The Damned. A biography of the band is currently being written. The original Mopeds Johnny and Slimy Toad have been joined by long time members, Jacko Pistorious , Rock N Roll Robot (also know as Rob from legendary Ska/Punk band Case) and Marty Love for the new single and album. Both were recorded at Panther Studios, Reigate and produced by longtime associate Dick Crippen.

New 7" from Leeds' finest! Fact #1 - Cyanide Pills are a brilliant live band. Anyone who has seen
them at Rebellion Festival or on one of their jaunts around Europe will agree. Fact #2 - They
write great songs. Fact #3 - 'Big Mistake' is the first single taken from their new album Sliced and
Diced Fact #4 - You will love it! Keeping the spirit of '78 alive, the band's mix of punk blasts and
melodic power-pop has never sounded better. With razor-sharp twin guitars, a pounding
rhythm section and un-matched lyrical barbs, 'Big Mistake' is taken from the band's new album
Sliced And Diced and is backed by an exclusive B-Side. Since the last LP (2013's Still Bored), the
band have gigged alongside some of the biggest names in punk including Buzzcocks, UK Subs,
Johnny Moped, The Lurkers and many more. Cyanide Pills will be touring Europe in March and
also play Rebellion Festival in Blackpool this August. Like the previous album, Sliced and Diced
was recorded at The Billiard Room in Leeds by Wedding Present producer Carl Rosamond

Brand new studio album!Featuring Captain Sensible and Paul Gray from The Damned, with Johnny Moped drummer Marty Love! Who, what and why are The Sensible Gray Cells?Captain: "Paul Gray and myself being garage psych aficionados would prefer to hear more of this kind of music and this is our contribution to the cause. If I said that some of the songs were 'Damned rejects' that shouldn't be seen as an indication of inferior songwriting.. more that they're not wearing the right shirt."A Postcard From Britain came out in 2013. What have you been up to since then?Captain: "I've never been a prolific writer.. being a lazy so and so I think it's best to wait for inspiration to call.. which explains the 7 year gap..( how many albums could the Beatles have crammed in that period!) but in the meantime PG rejoined the Damned and we've gigged about a bit, which is always fun - CAN WE HAVE GIGS BACK AGAIN PLEASE!"A Postcard From Britain was a snapshot of modern life. Does the new album cover similar themes or have you taken a new direction? Captain: "It's sad that high streets around the world have been destroyed by online shopping but nobody's forcing people to do it.. but what can you do. These are very strange times were living though - I just count myself lucky to have been around to witness the 2nd half of the 20th century.. a fab time for music, culture, ideas.. and that without even mentioning Benny Hill and On The Buses. The new album coincides with all this virus malarkey.. which, unpleasant as it is will undoubtedly be used by the powers that be to tighten the screws on us little people on behalf of their billionaire paymasters. Blah blah, etc. There's a bit of that hidden away in the album."

Ex-Boys frontman returns with a blistering two track POWER POP 7" on purple vinyl! There are only two people in the entire world who can claim to have played with the Ramones while not actually being tagged with the amone' nom-de-plume. Duncan Reid is one of those people. As singer and bass player of Joey Ramone's favourite band, The Boys, Duncan rode on the crest of a wave during punk's original late-1970s heyday as part of a wider collective of friends and peers that included Sex Pistols, The Clash, Generation X and a host of other power-chord pioneers. The Boys remain one of the best-loved and influential bands of their generation.Montevideo, from the Big Heads' debut album Little Big Head, earned Duncan the keys to the Uruguayan capital (the only other musicians to achieve this being Elton John and Paul McCartney).Following a cornucopia of stellar reviews for first album Little Big Head, The Big Heads developed their unique, effortlessly entertaining, melodic brand of harmony laden pop punk with: The Difficult Second Album. This May sees the release of their third album Bombs Away. Fourteen catchy little ditties about life, death, paranoia and Viagra. 2017 sees the Big Heads touring eternally in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Germany including festival dates at Rebellion, and Undercover.

Here we have the third LP by the excellent Guy Hamper Trio, featuring James Taylor on Hamond organ, and Guy Hamper on guitar (sometimes called Childish) and what a first-class LP this is! 'Instrument of Evil' in particular has a very eerie vibe. We asked the man himself what was the inspiration for it? G.H. The track is the sequel to '7% Solution', which featured on the last Guy Hamper Trio LP (with Thee Headcoats standing in as rhythm section). A 7% Solution being the amount of morphine Dr Watson administered to Sherlock Holmes. For 'Instrument of Evil' I took Sherlock Holmes' later designation of his syringe as "an Instrument of Evil". This is originally a quote from the bible- "Wicked men do at times reject God's purpose for the state, transforming the good of civil government into an instrument of evil." Point of interest: Morphine addiction happens to tie in with another aspect of the song. The track also features contributions from Tom Morley (trumpet) and Anna Jordanous (sax) . Both Were a pleasure to work with. My job at the wheel is to basically make a playground and let Jamie, Anna and Tom loose in it with very little direction, apart from pointing out the swings and location of the roundabout. I told Tom "you're a Spanish trumpeter stood on a hill in Spain." For Anna, I think we said "go low and nasty." Other titles are taken from early poetry chapbooks I made in my youth. 'The First Creature is Jealousy' and 'Dog Jaw Woman' being examples. The title 'Incense Rising From a Censer' comes fromDostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov, a book I really recommend....

Indignation Meeting are punky rail fans from Leeds. 15-year-old Peter is the driver - he's the drummer and lead singer, writes most of the songs, and also plays bass and trumpet on the album. The rest of the crew is his dad Michael on guitar, Hugo on bass, and with Keith, Heather and Sally often along for the ride when they play out. Here at DGHQ we loved listening to their self-released debut album Trouble In The Shed so much we eventually released it on vinyl for the first time. They now have a second album! Vocalist/drummer Peter very kindly talks us through the (train) tracks_* "The Trainspotting Song" - Now, as a train geek, I go out filming trains an awful lot, and one thing you can't help noticing whilst out in the wilds of Staffordshire or the moors of Lancashire are a whole load of unnecessary 'Private Land' signs. This song is my response_* "The Talyllyn Railway" - The history of the Talyllyn Railway is a fascinating one that I've long since wanted to explore, due to its unique nature as the first railway to ever be taken over by volunteers. This is the result! * "The Middleton Railway" - As a volunteer at the Middleton Railway, I had felt that a song needed to be written for quite a while. However, our guitarist Michael, ended up beating me to it! * "A Model World" - It was late one night, and I was lying on my sofa, trying my hardest to gain an ounce of enjoyment from 'Hornby; A Model World.' It was proving quite hard, due to the alarming lack of substance in the programme, so instead I decided that its name was rather good, and could be the basis of a song explaining my 'model world.' And, well, here it is! * "The Fifth Black Five" - This song is dedicated to the railway preservationists of old, who spent countless hours in cold, damp, dreary sidings, all to make sure us future generations would be able to enjoy the smell of a steam train. Thanks guys! * "Case Study" - This song is a commentary on the sensationalisation of disasters, when there's a massive tragedy and peopl...

The duo play garage/soul/rock n roll and write songs that combine a lyrical charm and ease with a sound that's full-bodied and powerful in spite of their stripped-down set-up. They take their influences from both sides of the Atlantic with a love for both the output of U.S labels such as Stax, Motown and Sun and for British sixties R&B bands such as The Small Faces, The Kinks and The Zombies.

Debut single from French 3-piece electronic garage band, THE JIMI BEN BAND. Based in Lille, France, they came to Damaged Goods' attention having played with Thee Spivs. Damaged Goods strongly suggests you YouTube the video to experience the fullmajesty and psychedelic majesty of the band. Once upon a time, Jimi Ben found himself lost in the jungle. He had been wandering in South East Asia for years and could find no way out. One night he was cruising for dirt and love, he got struck by sexedelic visions emerging from the red lights of go-go bars. An inner baboon voice told him: "Jimi ! Bad is good for you. Why don't you set up a Rock'N'Roll band ?". That's exactlywhat he did. Back in his hometown (Stockton, Northern France), he was taught by long time friend Ricky Love how to play powe...

LOUIS LINGG AND THE BOMBS are goddamn punk-rock-garage-pop-anarcho saviours of the 2 and half minute pop song. They come from Paris where they regularly blow up little bars with explosions of snot and beer fuelled punk rock energy. The group is named after Louis Lingg, the famous Chicago anarchist who committed suicide on death row in 1887. Some of their songs are ultra-political anarchist punk rock and some of their songs are like children's nursery rhymes. ALL of their song's are full of interesting pop hooks and melodies and they are sung with energy and commitment.Their influences are punk bands like The Briefs, The Epoxies, Antiflag, Pansy Division and The Dickies. They have a strong love of '77 style punk like The Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Adverts and The Undertones. Never forgetting that they are children of the 90s having grown up with bands such as Nirvana, Bikini Kill, Sleater Kinney and The Butthole Surfers. In their song-writing however, their admiration of classic children's songs is clearly visible, as is their 60s influences; Shirley Ellis,...

PINEY GIR, sometime electronic exotica lover (PEAKAHOKAHOO); genuine all-American country girl (THE PINEY GIR COUNTRY ROADSHOW), returns to the musical fray with her most accomplished album to date. "The Yearling". Pulling in a parade of collaborators spanning country slides, orchestral strings, found sounds, saw playing food gurus and, hush! even a celebrity appearance on a love-gone-wrong duet, it is Piney's most dazzling record yet. Quite a cocktail. the simple structures of her country record with a shot of heartbreak that comes from the moonshine of life's own harsh still. The Yearling fuses cutting edge production taking a nod from German electronica, spanning its way to warm 70s FM radio with a loving how-do-you-do to musique concrète.

BETTY AND THE WEREWOLVES are three girls and one boy from London who whoop and howl through the night as sweetly sung melodies collide with glitter-struck punk guitars. Taking inspiration from luminary lycanthropes Virginia Woolf and Grandma Wolf, they sing ditties about falling in love with David Cassidy and strange encounters on night buses, shouting all the while and scuffing up their party shoes. This is their wonderful second single following their debut 7" last year on DG called 'Euston Station' and it's a homage to 70's super pop pin-up and Partridge Family member, "David Cassidy". It's backed with another live favourite "Plastic". The Werewolves recorded this just after their recent tour dates with FUCKED UP, who have been telling anyone that will listen that BATW are their favourite band in the world. This single will hopefully plug the gap for those who can't wait for the debut album which is due out later in the year.

THE CHATHAM SINGERS first album came out in late 2005, the critically acclaimed 'Heavens Journey' was a mixture of Blues and Poetry, since that album they have played select shows and festivals and now three years later they have gone back into the studio to record the follow up, as yet untitled album. This very limited 7" features two tracks from the new album (due out sometime in 2009) which both feature Julie on vocals, the a-side is a Billy Childish original and the b-side is a very dark cover of an old Hank Williams song.

This is the first single from the new album 'Triple Distilled' and it's already getting played on BBC 6Music, 'Begging You' was recorded at Ranscombe Studios in Grahams hometown Rochester and it's backed with an exclusive b-side a great instrumental called 'Sitar Spangled Banner'. After a year of touring and the release of their 'Travelled And Unravelled' EP earlier this year, the Gaolers returned to the studio in July 2008 to record their follow up to the critically acclaimed debut album 'Soundtrack To The Daily Grind' with their second album 'Triple Distilled' at Ranscombe Studios in Rochester, Kent which is due for release in October 2008. 'Triple Distilled' is made up of 12 blistering new tracks with fairly autobiographical lyrics telling tales of their life on the road, drinking and smoking. As usual they are the amalgamation of Graham's tuneful and aggressive songs, driven with an energy and attitude, which has been perfectly captured in a simple no-frills studio recording. Buzz couldn't make the recording so Johnny Barker (Ex of The Buff Medways) has stepped in and will also be part of the band that hits the road again around the albums release for another European tour and a headline show at the legendary 100 CLUB in London on October 29th Dan Elektro from the great US band The Woggles is on drums. GRAHAM DAY - Founder member of The Prisoners, Prime Movers & The Solar Flares as well as drummer in The Mighty Caesers and bassist in The Buff Medways alongside old friend Billy Childish.
