"Lemuria" is a project led by Kirk Thompson, an original member of the band Kalapana, which is iconic in the Hawaiian AOR scene. Kirk is not only a player but also as a producer, he has left behind numerous classic albums. The only album released in 1978 features high-quality sound production and songwriting filled with an island vibe, leading many artists to cover their songs. P-vine is reissuing this album's representative hits, "All I've Got To Give" and "Hunk Of Heaven," on a 7-inch vinyl for the first time in a long while.

John Duran: 'Tell Me' came from an acute period of self-reflection and the meeting of a very special person in my life. I wrote it several years ago and for a while it was a staple in our live set, sometimes extending to over 20 minutes. For the single, the idea was to retain the vibe of the original version… at the same time, I wanted to maintain a relatively cohesive overall sound with the other work we’ve been putting out lately. To do this, we shortened the song to around two-and-a-half minutes or so and recorded everything to four-track cassette tape for an authentic sound. Instead of using electric guitars primarily, we swapped them for acoustics, with the fuzz from the ‘60s Maestro fz-1a (through a Silvertone 1448) appearing only here and there. We added the Danelectro baby sitar and a low Hammond drone through a Leslie rotating speaker for that elusive extra touch. Moonlight Love lyrically is a result of my interest in occult literature and practices… for the recording, the notion was to follow the lines of Tell Me to a degree, as this song was intended to be the flip side for this single from the get-go.

Universal Cave and the Street Road Band cover Dan Strimer with Insured Sound's cult anthem (Till You're) Back In My Arms which was originally released as a 45 in 1977 on Lost Nation Records out of Guysville, Ohio. When Universal Cave featured Back in My Arms on Soft Rock for Hard Times Vol 8 in 2023, we reached out to Dan Strimer to tell him how much we loved his record, and quickly made a friend who helped us release a cover of his song 47 years after it first came out. Dan is still making music to this day and there are even rumors of some unreleased recordings making their way out in the near future.

On vacation in Hawaii when we released Soft Rock for Hard Times Vol 8, Alex Tebbs Mitchell of Universal Cave kept coming back to Dan's catchy, rural classic rock tune. When Alex returned to Philadelphia, he assembled the Street Road Band to record a laid back, 'southwestern Balearic' cover version with André Ethier on vocals, Charles Simon on guitar, Jesse Spearhawk on Pedal Steel, Alex Tebbs Mitchell on Rhodes and bass, Ryan M. Todd on synthesizers, and Shawn Ryan and Brian Cassidy on additional programming and arrangement. The result is a blissful soft rock ballad inspired by the likes of Chris Rea and Mark Knopfler.

After recording the cover, we called in the UK's finest Balearic maestro's Coyote to take the multitracks to the White Isle and back for a remix worthy of Cafe Del Mar. Coyote send the song into a dreamy, dubby, deep house groove, confirming that the record is, in fact, Balearic.

LOS Cirros are one of the most obscure Spanish rock bands from the late 60s. Coming out of a tiny village in one of the smallest provinces of the country sure helped them being fully ignored, but how cool those guys proved to be when discovered in compilations such as “Viñedos” or “Pentecostés Vibrations”!!! They released two seven inches (1969 and 1970), both very very rare and featuring pretty cool songs in a blend of garage, light psychedelia and pop. Now, these two 45s are reissued (marketed together, not to be sold separately!), including an unreleased bonus track and with the usual attention to detail of the Madmua label, with the addition of an insert and two postcards. Limited to 500 copies.

The Polydor label released a few singles in the late 1960s that became very obscure and unknown, even to researchers. Most of these 7 inches are super psychedelic and very creative, but totally anti commercial. Own compositions, recordings and good productions, always with a top team. These works were not promoted or publicized by the label and very few copies circulated at the time. The impression is that the intention was to freeze or disappear with the artist in question. Vermelho is one of them, a work that is little talked about or known but that always attracts the attention of those who have access to these two tracks. Arrangement by Rogério Duprat, who was proud to have participated in these recordings, with Rafael Moreno on bass, Alberto Niccoli Junior on drums, Bolão on Sax and Marcos Ficarelli, the “Vermelho” on guitar and vocals.

Marcos already knew well the ways of recording and producing an album, having participated in historical groups of Brazilian rock in the 60's such as Top Sounds, Código 90 and Loupha, to name a few. At this stage, he had already acquired good knowledge of recording and studio management. Excerpts such as “And in the hole of the corners, to look for, is what I try in vain” presents the listener with the mood of the dark times of that time, and today seems a premonition about the difficulty of finding this single, even in private collections.

“Parabéns Meu Bem” and “Gira-Gira” are tracks with an advanced rhythm for the time. Drums very well marked, with an original take and very close to North American funk. The bass is consistent and strong and the guitar full of effects and very reminiscent of the sound and energy of Jimi Hendrix, Santana and Blood Sweat & Tears. There is yet another musical layer created by Duprat, who managed to insert a mini orchestra along with the sound mass created by “Banda do Vermelho”.

The Engineers, Abas Miraftab and Reza Agah, recorded and produced this 7’ "Persian Girl" sometime in the late 60s or early 70s. The first edition was independently pressed outside of Iran and only a few copies exist today. Little else is known about the band's music or history.

This stereo recording by far is the best & strongest rhythmic Persian music ever recorded the power burned in the grooves is immense. Turn the volume up, it will make you feel happy to listen & dance to.

First ever reissue of this sought-after punk-funk / no wave / electro post-punk 45 from 1979 by post-Wayne County Electric Chairs, produced by David Cunningham (flying Lizards). Expanded to 12” including hot edits / reworks by Gareth Goddard aka Cherrystones. In 1979, Wayne County & The Electric Chairs – the legendary punk-rock band - recorded their third album, Things Your Mother Never Told You, in London. It was produced by David Cunningham of the Flying Lizards, famous also for his work with This Heat, Michael Nyman, etc. He also played synthesizer on some of the tracks. Often compared to Bowie’s Low and Iggy Pop’s Lust For Life, the album combined the no-frills punk-rock sound of the band with the experimental production of Cunningham, showing his love for dub music and cut'n'paste / electronica. After a tour promoting the album, vocalist Wayne County along with guitar player Eliot Michaels departed the band and returned to New York, where County later emerged as Jayne County. The remaining Electric Chairs members - Val Haller, JJ Johnson and Henry Padovani (ex-Police!) - decided to continue under the Electric Chairs name. Their record label gave them just a month to find a replacement singer and write material for an album. After rehearsing with a few singers, none of which were suitable, the trio decided to go into the studio and record some tracks with Cunningham as producer. The result was the "So Many Ways" / "J'Attends Les Marines" 45, released in November 1979 by Safari Records. Here, Cunningham applied his most experimental production techniques, using electronic treatments on drums, rhythms and vocals. "So Many Ways", featuring Val on lead vocals, was far from anything else the band had previously done: an hypnotic punk-funk / no wave / synthetic pop hybrid that still sounds years ahead of its time. In 2013, it was included on the compilation "Under The Influence" by famous DJ James Glass. "J'Attends Les Marines" was a rework of "Waiting For The Marines" from the Things Your Mother album but adding a cool dub / experimental touch. Here's the first ever vinyl reissue of this sought after punk-funk / no wave 45, featuring the original artwork but expanded to 12" format for maximum sound quality and including two exclusive edits / reworks by Electric Chairs fan and mix/edit wizard Gareth Goddard aka Cherrystones

Perkins was one of the seminal rockabilly artists on Sun Record Company, creating a body of work that has been both critically acclaimed and extremely influential. Honey, Don’t! was originally released in 1956 as the b-side to Blue Suede Shoes.

Everyone has secrets—some dark, some joyous. The inspiration for The Secrets In Her Eyes comes from hidden desires that simmer beneath the surface and the realization that sometimes those secrets are more interesting when they remain a mystery to others. When The People Arise is a reflection of what’s happening in our world right now. We are the people, and we have the power, but it seems we don’t realize it or perhaps once knew but have since forgotten it. The psychedelic intensity of both songs was achieved in part through the unique sounds of Vox Phantom guitars and a Mellotron for interesting bass sounds, plus vintage effects including Coloursound Fuzz and various tape and analogue delays via the Dynacord Echo and Boss DM1. A classic Tascam 424 4-track cassette machine and an archaic Sennheiser Md421 microphone provided the perfect authentic touches.

Oblivion embraces a lysergic country rock tone in the vein of The Byrds and Relatively Clean Rivers while reflecting on the current state of affairs. The instrumental cover of what has long been considered the most psychedelic of disco songs, I Feel Love, has been a strong staple of the band’s live set, a trippy tribute to Donna Summer’s classic groover.Tracked to half-inch, 8-track tape using vintage recording equipment and analogue techniques, Secret Colours crafted both Oblivion and I Feel Love exclusively for their Hypnotic Bridge single. Recorded live in the studio to capture the energy and spontaneity of four musicians interacting, the band then added extra layers of fuzz, Mellotron, string synths, reverse guitar, and a plethora of tape delays to create a swirling, psychedelic haze that propels the music into new realms.

When The Piaggio Soul Combination recorded a few songs with legendary Italian guitarist Dome Le Muerte, they knew he would bring his psychedelic brilliance to the mix. And he did. So much so, in fact, that 'Space Diary' didn’t quite fit the vibe of their recent album and found its way instead to the lysergic sanctuary of Hypnotic Bridge Records. Dome's trebly, tremolo-barred chords are reminiscent of John Cipollina's work with Quicksilver Messenger Service; but the sound of the 1967 Satanic Majesties-era Rolling Stones serves as the greatest inspiration here, both in the song’s "space journey" topic as well as the massive use of Mellotronic flutes, violins and horns. ‘Dimmelo' was inspired by The Open Mind’s 'Free As The Breeze.’ Guest vocalist Marina Mulopulos entered the band’s circle when she taught band leader Marco Piaggesi a type of vocal therapy in which breathing exercises and pronunciation techniques are used to expand consciousness and awareness. Marina showcases her amazing vocal harmonies in the song’s middle section. Acid Jazz Records artist Andy Lewis (known for his work with Paul Weller, Pimlico, Spearmint, et al) produced 'Space Diary;' while Sandro DelCarratore produced ‘Dimmelo.'

Both songs are influenced by the collective immortal spirits of Arthur Lee and Love, Syd Barrett, Jimi Hendrix, Tomorrow, The Electric Prunes and Ennio Morricone. "Paint Me A Dream" begins, lyrically, with a group of mystics who become hypnotized as they sing together while playing dulcimers and lyres. This in turn evolves into mystical visions and a request to the divine eye to paint them a dream (travel from the grey to the technicolor). Yes, it's a trip. Musically, the song employs layered multiple rhythm guitars to create a wall of sound, using the differing tones of a 1963 Fender Esquire with custom pick-ups (as Syd Barrett once wielded) and a Gretsch with TV Jones pick-ups. After the first guitar solo, a bow of appreciation is given to the band HP Lovecraft, with harmonies in a style similar to a part of their live version of The Drifter. The Witch felt like a great choice for a cover. For the intro, the band crafted a Bee Gees-inspired five-part Gregorian chant to achieve the desired ethereal vibe, while a bit of Red Krayola-style free-form-freak-out later in the song adds a new twist to Mark Fry’s obscure classic. The full glory of psychedelia was further augmented with a collection of interesting instruments, including Persian setar, acoustic cigar box guitar, strangely tuned 12 string acoustic, vintage keyboards, various ethnic percussive instruments and even a half full whiskey bottle hit with a knife!

Crying All The Time! launches listeners into its stream of soaring, sonic splendor (and mellotronic majesty, courtesy of ex-BJM keyboardist Rob Campanella). Undoubtedly the first and only song to offer up such sumptuous words as delirious, imperious, mysterious, insidious and perfidious in a single set of lyrics. One Hundred Million Times Around The Sun conveys its cosmic trippiness in title alone, then delivers in spades with mind-twisting backwards guitars and soothing promises of everlasting bliss. Much Of A Muchness purrs along like a pristine engine fueled by no-knock, high-octane acid, serenaded by seraphic vocals and glimmering guitars.

Los Syn were born in 1966 in Chile, formed by four young lads from the US whose parents were working in Santiago at the time, and they released this sole 45 before all going back to the US next year. The record is practically nowhere to be found, and such an amazing example of teen garage folk-punk the way we all lose our head for.

Baa Records’ first ever limited remaster and reissue of PHAENDIN วงแผ่นดิน “Five Precepts” in 7” single. Phaendin (“Land”) was a coming-together of musicians from other prominent bands in the Thai phuea chiwit (“songs for life”) folk-song scene. Phaendin “Five Precepts” album was first made & recorded in 1994. In this 7” reissued, we have “Five Precepts ศีลห้า“ — an early 90s Thai funk-rock Pali Chant recorded in 1994 on side 1, and a handpicked blues rock track “Accident อุบัติเหตุ“ on side 2. Both reproduced and remastered first quarter of 2024.

Mercenárias is an iconic band in the history of Brazilian punk and post-punk. They gained global recognition after being included in several compilations outside Brazil. Recommended for fans of The Slits, DNA, Malaria!, Kleenex, and Minutemen, this early recording by Mercenárias is more punk than their albums, but still super catchy. It has been remastered from the original tape and includes an insert with previously unseen photos and a short text by Edgard Scandurra. This is a collaboration release with the Brazilian label Nada Nada Discos.

Available again for the first time in 51 years. This banger has been in our DJ box for many years. First issued by our all-time favorite label, President Records in 1972, this was Things Fall APART's one and only release. Contrary to speculation, The Equals nor Eddy Grant had anything to do with this record despite it sounding very much like The Equals circa "Stand Up And Be Counted." Great privately released garage rock / hard rock single issued under the band name ‘4 Faces’. The brainchild of Finish musician Johnny Burner who got together with Hanoi Rocks Andy McCoy and Michael Monroe, (and glam rocker Adam Bomb), for a session that produced this undiscovered gem.

Bscbr is a group of Black Sabbath lovers hailing from New York City. The group consists of Brad Truax (interpol), Mick Barr (ocrilim, Krallice), Greg FOX (liturgy, EX Eye), Nick Zinner (yeah Yeah YeahS), and Angel Deradoorian (dirty Projectors, Deradoorian). After a music residency in Berlin where Zinner, Deradoorian, and Fox met up, the first formation of the band was created. Zinner had the idea of bringing the music to NYC (when Truax and Barr joined) where the band received immediate attention and sold out their first concert. It was surprising for everyone, but they just kept on playing, and the people kept on showing up. It's been one of their favorite bands to play in ever. The love of Sabbath has brought so much joy to this group and there's no greater feeling than spreading that joy to fellow fans.

Peanut Rubble was a power trio from Buckinhamshire, a rural area a few miles northwest of London. This Radio Luxembourg Studios recordings were made back in 1968, being an early sample of british heavy music one year before Led Zeppelin released their first album. They used to play in college/university circuit, airbases and youth clubs with 100w Marshall stacks, being too loud for some of those clubs. They supported bands such as Status Quo, The Pretty Things, Arthur Brown or Pink Floyd. The single contains three remastered songs of pure loud heavy blues, with a smooth drum playing and a thick fuzzy sound, being now released for the first time. It includes an insert with the story of the band.

Jojo Hiroshige’s famed Alchemy Records is well known for releasing some of the most loved Japanoise releases from the likes of Hijokaidan, Merzbow and Masonna. The label also showcased some of the most exciting music coming out of the Kansai region from artists who didn’t necessarily fit in with its notorious noise. Osaka band Angel’in Heavy Syrup were a four member female group whose psychedelic impulses twisted and turned through luscious space rock and heavy distortion. This limited edition 7 inch release from P-vine features two covers of the legendary psych-folk songwriter Doji Morita - a perfect pairing of Japanese melancholy and experimental fuzz.

These sides are prototypical for the "Sounds Like Santana" genre coined at the Friends of Sound record store in Austin, TX years ago. Heavy Latin Rock fusion on these tracks, with just a pinch of Jazz thrown in for good measure. "Evil Deeds" starts right into it the moment the needle hits the groove on your turntable - heavy organ, percussion, shakers, and guitar all greet your ears. Moving into the track you get the typical shredding guitar solo, organ solo, and a sax solo, for good measure. "Time and Space" starts with a nod to the classic Dave Brubeck "Take Five" and continues on an adventure into a more psychedelic groove and more of a Rock vibe. Time changes and tempo shifts and big solos round out the side.

Amazing stuff from the teenagers band that the drummer was only 12 years old when they recorded the tunes Side A is Gelin Ayse (Bride Ayse) which is very sad traditional Turkish folk song that arranged by the psych form Side B is Nenni (Lullaby) that is a traditional tune, but what a traditional tune by the teenagers!!! After their stunning debut failed to chart, surely the public would picked up on the even catchier 1974 follow-up, "Bye Bye Bad Days," a song for the Covid era we now inhabit if ever there was one. Nope. Never fear, we're doing what we always do, shining a light on an overlooked gem that deserves heard again. Hector came and went and left us two utterly perfect singles, and for that, we forever grateful. Remastered with a huge sonic improvement over the original 1974 pressing which was very noisy."

It's a dream to release not one, but both iconic singles by Junkshop glam titans Hector. First up is their debut from '73, "Wired Up." In a perfect world, this would have topped the charts and The Osmonds would have struggling to make ends meet. Alas, it is a well known fact that quality cannot be shoved down the public's throat. In spite of loads of coverage in the teen mags and even TV appearances—fame and fortune were not in the cards for Hector. "Wired Up" goes for the jugular from the get-go with that throbbing single note riff pulverizing your senses. How can a song this incredibly catchy not be a smash? Emotional Rescue returns to early 1980s Manchester with the previously unreleased music of Michael James Pollard and his beautiful distillation of indie pop in Too Confusing and bedsit cover version of Ashford and Simpson's Surrender. While studying photography at Manchester Polytechnic, MJ) Pollard lived and played in a band in a ramshackle house in Walley Range. In the cellar studio he would write and record his own songs using their guitars, fretless bass and keys, as well as his own Casio VL-Tone Vl-1 and Simmons Clap Trap to augment his drums onto a 4 track Teac. By 1983, and now solo, he was recording out of Dislocation Dance's studio Erc111), had secured a Peel Session and via Factory Records' Lindsay Reade, was discussing with Fundacao Atlantica about releasing an album. Working with singer Sioux Goddard as a duo, they put down 8 songs in 2 weeks in summer '84. However, Fundacao Atlantica's financial difficulties and soon closure meant the songs were lost until now. Recovered off the original tapes and lovingly restored, Too Confusing captures the optimism of the sessions, a summer love melody of forlorn youth. Surrender accompanies, recorded back in that cellar in '81, with friend Stephanie Danziger on vocals, its lo-fi simplicity is a perfect take on an all-time classic, making this a newly prized gem of British indie pop history.

Black Sabbath Cover Band Rehearsal is a group of Black Sabbath lovers hailing from New York City. The group consists of Brad Truax (interpol), Mick Barr (ocrilim, Krallice), Greg FOX (liturgy. EX Eye), Nick Zinner (yeah Yeah YeahS), and Angel Deradoorian (dirty Projectors, Deradoorian). After a music residency in Berlin where Zinner, Deradoorian, and Fox met up, the first formation of the band was created. Zinner had the idea of bringing the music to NYC (when Truax and Barr joined) where the band received immediate attention and sold out their first concert. It was surprising for everyone, but they just kept on playing, and the people kept on showing up. It's been one of their favorite bands to play in ever. The love of Sabbath has brought so much joy to this group and there's no greater feeling than spreading that joy to fellow fans. Two tracks—"Sweet Leaf" and "Fairies Wear Boots."

To celebrate Record Store Day 2020 (Saturday 18 April), Pink Floyd will release a live recording of the band's first single, and original singer and songwriter Syd Barrett's best-known song, 'Arnold Layne'. The limited-edition, one-sided Record Store Day 7'' vinyl represents the last live performance of Pink Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright all together in 2007. This special performance of Arnold Layne took place at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert at The Barbican on 10 May 2007, with Pink Floyd members augmented by Jon Carin (Keyboards, vocals) and Andy Bell from Oasis on bass guitar. After a star-studded line-up throughout the evening, Pink Floyd took to the stage for an incredibly emotional finale. B-side of the single, which features an exclusive etching of handcuffs to echo the sleeve and the song's lyrics.

Record Store Day 2020 Release.

To celebrate RSD 2020, Pink Floyd will release a limited edition one sided etched 7” of their first single “Arnold Layne” recorded live at the Syd Barrett Tribute concert ‘The Madcap’s Last Laugh’, produced by Nick Lair d-Clowes with Associate Producer Joe Boyd, held at The Barbican in London, on May 10th, 2007. This special release represents the last live performance of Pink Floyd with Da vid Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. The Pink Floyd members were augmented by Jon Carin (Keyboards, vocals) and Andy Bell from Oasis on bass guitar.

Türküola releases maybe the most outstanding piece of Cem Karaca & Apaşlar in their adventure in Germany. Cem Karaca was a new born Anatolian Pop star from rock’n’roll roots and Apaşlar was a surf band when they united in 1967. In the end of 1967 they toured Germany and began to record with Ferdy Klein Orchestra (which was a version of Werner Müller Orchestra) between 1968-1969. “Gılgamış-Ayrılık Günümüz” is one of the singles recorded as a cooperation between the band and the “big band” . Therefore the A side of the single “Ayrılık Günümüz” (Our Day of Departi reflect this cooperation between Werner Müller Orchestra and CK & Apaşlar with a feeling of mod scene, a rock ballad with polyphonic arrangements. On the other hand the flip side of the single gives out the band’s own groove and performance with the instrumental psychedelic rock peace “Gılgamış” (Gilgamesh). Gılgamış is inspired by the Epic of Gılgamesh and the band plays a powerful groove with a Mesopotamian mood and riffs. The Apaşlar line-up playing in this piece was Mehmet Soyarslan (electric guitar), Seyhan Karabay (bass), and Leon Habib (drums). Beginning with Seyhan Karabay’s solid bass riffs which is followed by drums of Leon Habib serving an energetic groove; Soyarslan plays his Epiphone guitar with psychedelic effects which sometimes take the main theme to a micro tonal scale. Today we have the opportunity to hold this unique piece in compliance with the authentic cover coated with gelatine and its vinyl produced from the master tapes. Thanks to Türküola for this generous reissue for the collectors of Turkish psychedelia.

Ara Pacis, a group from the island Föhr in the North Sea, was originally founded in 1971. Initially influenced by blues and classic rock by The Rolling Stones, The Who, and the like, they were also inspired by bands such as Steely Dan as well as the German/British group Lake. However, Ara Pacis created a style of their own
when their privately pressed an self-distributed “To the Westcoast” LP was released in 1979. The songs were mainly characterized by two-part guitar riffs by Töns Brautlecht-Deppe and Wolfgang Schiffner, who also were the core songwriters of the band.
The freshly remastered single starts with the title track “To the Westcoast”. Due to its sunny and yacht-y vibe it is easily amongst the best and most authentic tunes out of the “Westcoast rock” genre recorded in Germany. With family connections in California, lead singer Töns Brautlecht-Deppe was able to create and capture the feeling of the Pacific sea shore just perfectly.
The single is backed with a revised studio version of “My Fate”. The track is also featured on the album but the version presented here on the 7" vinyl is an unreleased, even quite funky and more powerful take. It was recorded in 1981 at the Rüssl studio in Hamburg where Brautlecht had just started to work as an engineer.
As the "To the Westcoast" LP was released during a time when styles like New Wave, Synth Pop and Punk became popular in Germany and the interest in organic and soulful rock declined, Ara Pacis’ debut remained relatively unnoticed until today and even the Krautrock collector’s scene does not seem to be fully aware of this hard to find gem yet of which only 1000 copies were originally pressed. The band is still kept in good memory by their fans as a quite legendary live act and although they
officially split in 1982, the group still served their fan base with revival concerts in 1990 and 2002 plus a website with full band story and lots of images from the early days.

‘O’Seis’ are the core members of the mighty and legendary ‘Os Mutantes’ – namely Rita Lee and brothers Arnaldo and Sérgio Baptista, accompanied here by Raphael Vilardi, Maria ‘Mogguy’ Malheiros and Luiz Pastura. The record features anthemic, heavyweight, psychedelic rock on ‘Suicida’ b/w deeper, tripped-out MPB-folk on ‘Apocalipse’. Both tracks were written by Rita Lee, assisted by Tobe and Vilardi respectively. The term ‘holy grail’ is a little overused these days perhaps, but this definitely is one. Originally pressed and released by the band themselves in 1966, apparently only a handful of copies are known to exist (sources/numbers vary). The record has changed hands for up to a staggering $5000! Ouch.

Legendary garage punk recorded in the mid '80s and pressed in the mid '90s. A true classic that finally gets released after more than 30 years. A handful of promo copies got into circulation at the time and are considered a holy grail to collectors. The flipside 'Rainy Days' is a previously unheard track which could easily be mistaken for The Seeds. Real '60s style garage punk at its very best.

Formed in 1972, Ace released three albums on the Anchor label between 1974 and 1977, but will always be remembered for one song from their Number 11 album ‘Five-A-Side’. That song, ‘How Long’, made Number 20 in their native United Kingdom but went all the way to Number 3 in the States in 1975 – quite an achievement for a band that unashamedly took its musical inspiration from that side of the Atlantic. Enjoy their best as originally delivered, on vinyl.

60s hard-to-find garage classics from the Downey label!

Doctor Explosión, leading Spanish 60s garage-punk act since the mid-nineties, is back with a surprise. A remake of one of the most remarkable early tracks of the band, “Baby please go” (Veste’n si us plau), and a cover of James Brown “I’ll go grazy” (Perdo l’esma) the way Catalan 60s band Eurogrup adapted in the mid 60s, and both tracks sung in perfect Catalan language – well, Barcelona’s accent, that’s fine…

We are very pleased to join the band’s own label Circo Perrotti for this co-produced 45, like old friends meeting again after ages!

Comes in a great cover artwork copying the original Eurogrup 7”, and it’s limited to 500 numbered copies.

Rooted in traditional folk expressions from the 1960s and infused with the spirit of Anatolian Pop that defined the '70s, Miskinler aims to bring this heritage to life with fresh compositions and a modern twist. Formed in the summer of ‘23 in Istanbul’s Kadıköy district, this is their debut release. This release offers an energetic take on experimental Anatolian melodies, with melting guitar tones, spirited basslines, and driving rhythms. The lyrics hint at a subtle love/crime story, adding depth to the vibrant soundscapes. Although Miskinler is a new band, they’ve captivated large audiences with their visually and sonically engaging performances. In February 2025, they are set to perform at Amsterdam’s Melkweg club, followed by shows in Ghent and Berlin. This 7" single comes as a magenta vinyl in a nice gatefold sleeve.

Formed in 1992, "Acil Servis" has long been a prominent name on Istanbul's live music scene. In 2024, in celebration of their 30th anniversary, the band decided to re-record two beloved tracks, “Bebek” and “Yusuf Yusuf”, adapting them to modern styles and sound quality. Released as a special anniversary single, Bebek shines as a powerful rock ballad, while Yusuf Yusuf impresses with its harmonica solo and vibrant guitar solos, maintaining their classic appeal while resonating with today’s listeners. This 7” 45rpm single, comes as a magenta vinyl in a nice gatefold sleeve.

Awash in aural delights emanating from a Wurlitzer electric piano along with Epiphone Casino and fuzz guitars, the song has all a seeker of psyched-out bliss could ask for. Shimmering with dronalicious sitar, Farfisa organ, 12-string guitar and Beatle-ish bass, She Is Dressed In Red is the perfect marigold comedown after spinning the A-side at maximum volume.

The result of a years-long process to distill the ultimate hybrid of instrumental surf and psychedelic bliss, Mantra and Surfers On Acid was conceived as the definitive psych-surf single and timeless summer soundtrack. Mantra picks up where Trabants’ 2015 album on Lolipop Records, Freakout, left off, inspired by the psychedelic sounds of the ‘60s while chasing and embracing the era’s righteously primitive fuzz effects. An aural ride through the tumultuous, exotic waves of an alien terrain, Surfers On Acid is an idea brought to fruition via vintage sounds and methods, fusing surf and psychedelia into one symbiotic piece of music. Rhythmic, reverb-drenched and brimming with layers of (forwards and) backwards guitar, these mind-and-body focused songs are also a response to the enigmatic mention of surf music in the lyrics of Jimi Hendrix’s 'Third Stone From The Sun,' which Hendrix apparently was transmitting to fellow left-handed guitar hero and surf music legend Dick Dale, as he said: And you’ll never hear surf music again (that sounds like a lie to me).

Psych pop with deep grooves and endless ego deaths. It's no accident the name Timothy Eerie is so close to that of Timothy Leary. This is the aural equivalent of two tabs and a trip down the rabbit hole. Since their first release in 2017, these day-glo denizens of the (Orange) Sunshine State have been kicking around the underground, making quite a name for themselves in a short period of time. I Fear The Void Is Waiting For Me (inspired by a serious dose of mushrooms and the resulting experience of dissolution and rebirth) and Acid Lake were both recorded in a few different places. Bass, drums and rhythm guitar were tracked live at a studio on a college campus. The band slipped into BB King’s as they were closing one night and recorded the organ parts on a vintage Hammond and Leslie setup in about 15 minutes. The vocals and other overdubs were all done in the bedrooms of the various band members. The idea was to make the songs sounds as loud, fast and energetic as they sound live.

Evolving from a deep well of concepts and sounds that came together during the long, strange months of the lockdown, Funtime Sunshine is the perfect song at the perfect time, encapsulating the optimism of an enlightened new era on our horizon. Flowing with dreamy, lysergic lyrics and sitar-laden soundscapes, it’s an invitation to let go of it all and bask blissfully in the eternal Now. The B-side, ’66, shifts The Smoking Trees sound into a higher, faster gear, celebrating the monumental year the fuse was lit for an explosion of psychedelic fashion, film, art and, most importantly, music. To many, the Seeds edgy dissonant sounds and relentless fuzz-fuelled drive, tinged with flights of psychedelic fancy, makes them the quintessential exponent of the garage rock genre. For decades, the name The Seeds was most closely identified with the activities of their eccentric vocalist, the late Sky Saxon, but the first, path-finding line-up was always a collaboration, the musical director of which was, without a doubt, keyboard whiz Daryl Hooper. Now, in the 2020s, as the only surviving original Seed, Daryl has reclaimed his birthright with a new and powerful set of Seeds. The guitars fizz and throb, the drums grind and groove, and Hooper's piano and organ parts remain as spookily compelling as ever. Paul Kopf delivers a performance one hundred percent in keeping with the energy and verve that is The Seeds’ signature. Careful to undertake writing and recording of new material with the same spirit that made the original Seeds discs so evocative, ‘Vampire’ and ‘Butterfly Child’ aspire to inspire rather than revive. Having worked extensively on the Seeds’ back catalogue as well as writing/producing the rockumentary The Seeds: Pushin’ Too Hard, Alec Palao oversaw the new single at SGV Studios in Alhamabra using the same methods that had worked for the original band in their heyday: recording live to analog tape with only a minimum of overdubs, in order to preserve the dynamics so often lacking from modern productions

An epic enigma of arcane imagery since it was first released in 1965, Richard Fariña’s timeless folk-rock classic, Bold Marauder has been covered by musicians as diverse as John Kay and Kendra Smith. The Resonars bring an unparalleled potency to the song, amplifying the feverish fervor of the lyrics with a psychedelic, guitar-driven assault that conjures up Blue Cheer launching an acid-folk crusade.

West coast psychedelia and Apocalyptic folk rock from underground psychedelic folk sensation Constantine Hastalis. While Silver Ship sails through a hypnotizing yet perilous red river of fuzz, organ, and lyrical naivety, Somewhere At The Edge Of Time emanates a haunting, tumbleweeds-under-apocalyptic-skies atmosphere. Both songs reverberate with the iconic glory of the American West, serving as a psychedelic soundtrack for high adventures as yet unrealized.

Let us be honest here: 'Some Strange Lust' is about dropping LSD — the romance of it and the lust for the feelings it brings. You might notice we threw on a bit of electric jug in tribute to The Elevators. 'One In A Blue Moon' is about a dream, and we had all had part in writing the different sections. The second section, which features Veronica Bianqui, came to me as I was drifting off to sleep and woke me right up as I knew I had to write it down. We used many instruments to bring a full, orchestrated, psychedelic feel, including autoharp, ring modulator, Marxophone, harpsichord and other things we've never used before. The song was a blast to make and we're super stoked with how it came out.

Psych pop for the 21st Century, You And Me In Space” takes us on a cosmic trip to the edge of the galaxy, fueled by love and a blissed-out dissolution of all that keeps us from soaring beyond our everyday confines. Recorded in an industrial estate in North London, the band set the scene by filling the room with multi-colored lights before deploying a full range of vintage equipment and psychedelic effects: backwards Telecaster through a Big Muff pedal, Hofner bass, space-age organ and even high-pitched, fuzzed-out vibrations made by blowing through blades of grass. Recorded during the Waves” album sessions and selected specifically as an exclusive song for the Hypnotic Bridge 45, Clocks” is dedicated to those who love the sound of the wah-wah guitar in its most psychedelic setting. Drummer Shin Okajima’s dramatic drum on the intro was inspired by the style and sound of the traditional Japanese Wadaiko.

It Turns” arrives like an echo from the past broadcast from the future, with early Pink Floyd-ian sounds and sentiments drifting within a stream of dreamy psych. Eternal Light” gallops with muted hooves through a fever dream of dense butterscotch brilliance, an Edwardian ghost swirling alongside holding a spliff the size of a torch, illuminating facets of strange, undulating gems along the path. Blending styles and adding new dimensions in their frenetic pursuit of mind-melting music, The Mad Walls have honed their craft with continual live performances, joining some of the most notable contemporary psych bands on stage at venues throughout Los Angeles and beyond. Sometimes joining the band on stage (as well as in the studio), multi-instrumentalist Glenn Brigman (Triptides, Levitation Room) brings keyboard magic to the Mad Walls sound.
