Raphox & Cleancapone Money Manteca

Hailing from Havana in the culturally rich, musically dense island of Cuba, the talented young producer Raphox absorbed the genetic imprint of the island - the unique Afro-Cuban rhythms and melodies, and meticulously began incorporating these elements into his unique brand of down-tempo, lo-fi electronica. Firmly rooted now in the Miami area, Raphox draws upon his musical roots and expands upon the whole premise of down-tempo lo-fi electronica, incorporating hip-hop and Afro Cuban elements to create something entirely new, ultimately expanding the genre. Raphox is first and foremost dedicated to the uniformity of his productions, meticulously crafting beats and sequences into a cohesive whole. One of his first endeavors was a highly original remix of Swamp Dogg's 1970 funk opus "Synthetic World," which had the music world sit up and take notice, garnering rave reviews. On the sensational 20-track full-length release "Money Manteca," Raphox teams up with fellow Miami based producer CleanCapone, adding a unique new perspective to the proceedings, with an expanded view of the future of multi-cultural, lo-fi electronica. With each successive release, Raphox's vision is unwavering, as he continues to hone his craft to perfection.
