Crom is the ultimate amalgamation of mystery mixed with futility. They are one of the most frustratingly undefinable bands out there - mixing general metal aesthetic into a stew of subgenres ranging from sludge and doom to perfectly cultivated thrash parts and plenty of punk, hardcore, and powerviolence influence spices to get a perfect boiling mixture that has been thought about and talked about since it came out originally in 2001. The original release came out on a band member's label alongside releases from DYSTOPIA, GRIEF, EYEHATEGOD, and 16 to name a few and Crom is fully deserving to stand next to those bands. In 2023 we have taken the original masters and given them the white glove treatment and enlisted Nick Townsend whose mastering and audio work includes such big releases from JIMI HENDRIX to PEARL JAM to DR DRE to NAILS to the DIY likes of REGIONAL JUSTICE CENTER and FIREBURN. Nick worked with Phil from the band to create a perfect representation of what this release needed to sound bigger and fuller in the over twenty-year time since it came out. This definitive edition is the best sounding time capsule of what the band really encompasses and deserves. Similar attention has been given to the artwork, with freshly scanned Carlos Vera artwork and the vinyl version has the cover art sized perfectly to fit it's gatefold cover. The resulting release will have you smashing high gravity Steel Reserve along side the band. To quote the mostly unreleased unofficial Crom documentary trailer "How does the audience respond to Crom? By either leaving or losing their f***ing mind". This record will make you do the latter.

Death Toll 80k is back for their massive junior full length. Formed in 2005, and hailing from Finland, the band has laid down splits with a choice set of bands ranging from ARCHAGATHUS to SETE STAR SEPT and have released two devastating full lengths up til now with The Future Is Yours being the cherry on top. The album is a one-sided LP but don't let the length fool you, the album starts out fully charging out of the gate with breakneck blastbeats and full force non-stop grindcore attacks. DT80K blast away and when you feel like you can't stand it anymore, they lay in some groove to really seal the deal. Eleven minutes of aural fury. The b-side features a meticulously etched band logo and the LP will come with a spray paint stencil of the cover art so that you can let everyone know whose future it is! In these rough times, we needed the straight-forward blasts and guttural growls of DT80K to imagine the stench of a nasty dirty non-stop mosh pit that your living room will become after each ripping track of this filthy slab of vinyl.

"Do you remember the Judgement Night soundtrack? An interesting shmash-up of hip hop and metal/rock musicians tossed together to create a memorable compilation. Well, this isn't quite like that but it is a collab split features two amazing hardcore bands from different countries utilizing experimental noise artists to lay noise in the perfect places to enhance and elevate the songs. TRANSIENT brings both blast-beats and hair-raising riffs ala CATTLEPRESS, while Eric Wood aka BASTARD NOISE weaves in anxiety-inducing buzzes and blips. Two songs in four minutes will leave you with your jaw agape and you will pick up your needle and listen to the ending multiple times. On the flip-side are two very competent Japanese bands, representing the blasters are Osaka's COMPLETED EXPOSITION. CXE are a three piece who utilize two bass players who both sing and a more than competent drummer. The noise component is Tokyo's 666 aka BLACKPHONE666. Their side sounds like SPAZZ playing a concert at the end of existence where time and space has started warping. To Live A Lie continues to be a DIY underground label who continues to stay the line of cutting-edge releases, and this split collab is a perfect example of taking hardcore punk/power violence and stepping up the style. Both groups and both noise artists are at the top of their game, and we couldn't be more excited of this output.
