Berlin-based music magazine Risiko publishes its fifth issue! The topic is "film"! Risiko, an independent magazine based in Berlin that covers contemporary German underground and alternative music as well as the surrounding culture, publishes its fifth issue, "box". Risiko Issue 5 is a film issue. We've selected five film directors that capture our attention and collected stories about their works and comments from movie-loving artists. This issue includes contributions from German artists like Isolation Berlin and Nils Keppel, who are currently making waves, as well as international artists like Nick Zinner from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Lemon Twigs and Swans. Rather than typical movie reviews, this issue explores films through the lens of these artists, offering fresh discoveries about both film and music. You will encounter your favorite films, artists and music from various perspectives. We've created an issue that will resonate with both movie and music lovers. Her longtime friend, Claudia Skoda, tells us about Ulrike's masterpieces from the 70s and her friendship with Ulrike. ● Decoder Klaus Maeck Klaus Maeck is the director of B-Movie: Lust & Sound in West-Berlin 1979–1989, a film that hugely influenced Risiko. We asked him about his 80s cult film, Decoder. ● The Box Man in Berlin Gakuryu Ishii's film The Box Man, had its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival. After the festival Gakuryu and his crew left, but there is a rumor that the Box Man is still wandering about Berlin. ● Fräulein Berlin Lothar Lambert Lothar Lambert is a German underground film director.
