Digitmovies presents Bruno Nicolai’s “The case of the scorpion's tail” (aka “La coda dello scorpione”), “The case of the bloody iris” (aka “Perché quelle strane gocce di sangue sul corpo di Jennifer?”), “All the colors of the dark” (aka “Tutti i colori del buio”) and “Your vice is a locked room and only I have the key” (aka “Il tuo vizio è una stanza chiusa e solo io ne ho la chiave”) OSTs on LP version. This limited edition double vinyl record presents a selection of the best themes of the four OSTs, one for each side of the records. The Case Of The Scorpion’s Tail (La Coda Dello Scorpione)

Maestro Bruno Nicolai knew how to put in music the macabre homicides of that event, writing a dissonant music soaked with elements of avant-garde and jazz. The soundtrack is enriched by two romantic yet nostalgic themes, as background of the love story of the protagonists. For this publication we used every take found in the original masters. Your Vice Is A Locked Room And Only I Have A Key (Il Tuo Vizio È Una Stanza Chiusa E Solo Io Ne Ho La Chiave) Maestro Bruno Nicolai wrote a monothematic score based on variations of a nostalgic and romantic classical adagio for strings and harpsichord. All the horrifying aspects of this story are described through a series of dramatic and atonal themes, alternated to the classic adagio. All The Colors Of The Dark (Tutti I Colori Del Buio) Bruno Nicolai wrote and directed one of his best soundtracks for thriller genre. The soundtrack is mainly based on orchestral dark passages, sometimes rhythmic, sometimes atmospheric, which give a great sense of constant stress. Other than the romantic love theme, the soundtrack includes another very important theme: that for the “Sabba” in coral version and lounge-psychedelic version with Beat arrangements, performed by Alessandroni’s Modern Cantors. It also contains the sitar execution of the great Alessandro Alessandroni. The Case Of The Bloody Iris (Perché Quelle Strane Gocce Di Sangue Sul Corpo Di Jennifer?) Bruno Nicolai wrote a romantic theme for Jennifer, which is re-taken in various versions during the whole soundtrack. The main theme has dark and dissonant strings passages, which make the listener feel tense and distressed.

Green vinyl edition limited to 100 copies. Only available at HHV Records.

Licensed in 1975 by Gemelli, Rendez Vous is possibly a holy grail in Nicolai long-running career as a composer. The orchestra director and musical editor has been active for at least 30 years and his majestic opus an overwhelming data for any avantgarde freak or moviegoer obsessed. While studying piano and composition at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, he befriended Ennio Morricone and formed a long working relationship, with Nicolai eventually conducting for and co-scoring films with Morricone. Nicolai also scored a number of giallo exploitation films and wrote many scores for director Jesús Franco. His work was featured in the Quentin Tarantino films Kill Bill: Volume 2 and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tension! Pretty much what this whole record is all about. An imaginary soundtrack that turned out to be an in-demand obscure library, Rendez Vous shows up the many skills of the composer and his alumni. Possibly Morricone is playing muted trumpet in several episodes – Diffidenza and Subdolamente – absorbing thrilling experiences similar to the Maestro soundtracks for Dario Argento early movies (not a case that Nicolai was the conductor for several adventures in movie sound theatre such as ‘L’Uccello Dalle Piume Di Cristallo’, ‘ Il Gatto A Nove Code’ or ‘4 Mosche Di Velluto Grigio’).

- First ever LP edition, Record Store Day 2025 exclusive on clear yellow vinyl with 30x30cm insert. - Liner notes and audio remastered by Claudio Fuiano. - First Ever Vinyl Release!!! ''Kiss Kiss... Bang Bang'' is a 1966 spy movie directed by Duccio Tessari, starring Giuliano Gemma, Daniele Vargas and George Martin among others. That same year only a 45rpm was released, including the tracks ''Love Love Bang Bang'' sung by Nancy Cuomo, accompanied by Alessandro Alessandroni's Cantori Moderni, and ''Kiss-me-Warren-please''. Therefore, this is the first ever vinyl edition of this soundtrack, including sixteen tracks taken from the original session mono master, for a total length of about 38 minutes. Bruno Nicolai composed a soundtrack based on different versions of the two main themes. ''Love Love Bang Bang'', the song from the opening credits (a1), is featured with different arrangements: dreamy for sax and piano (a4), baroque classical (a5), march (b1), as a tender lullaby for strings and celesta (b4) and even with a James Bond-style intro (b8). ''Kiss-Me-Warren-Please'', the main character's love theme, is instead present as a jazz motif with solo sax (a2), trumpet (a6) and clarinet (b2). Bruno Nicolai has also composed evocative suspenseful atmospheres with organ and rhythmic effects to describe the spy side of the plot (A3, A7, B6) and tracks that would perfectly fit in a nightclub context (A8, B5, B7). Love Love Bang Bang (Main Titles); Kiss-Me-Warren-Please (Sax Version); Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Mystery Theme 1); Love Love Bang Bang (Sexy Version); Love Love Bang Bang (Opera); Kiss-Me-Warren-Please (Trumpet Version); Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Mystery Theme 2); Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Fox-Trot); Love Love Bang Bang (Big March); Kiss-Me-Warren-Please (Night Club); Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Can-Can); Love Love Bang Bang (Love Theme); Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Night Club); Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Mystery Theme 3); Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Boogie); Love Love Bang Bang (007 Version) (Finale)

This LP would not have been possible if Edipan hadn’t conserved two mono masters in good conditions in its archives (stereo mixes have gone lost). Unfortunately it was not possible to cancel some magnetic flaws. We brought to life an OST that contains all the popular and well respected music elements of Maestro Nicolai: dissonant strings segments, experimental effects of an evocative classical main theme, ambiguous and mysterious, accompanied by pop rithms. Direction AND Cast Directed by Peter Collinson in 1974 and starring: Oliver Reed, Elke Sommer, Richard Attenborough, Gert Fröbe, Herbert Lom, Charles Aznavour, Maria Rohm, Adolfo Celi, Stéphane Audran, Alberto de Mendoza, Orson Welles (just voice). Plot A stranger that calls himself U.N. Owen invites ten people to stay at an isolated house in the Iran desert, drawning them with weird excuses. The nearest town is twohundred miles away and there are no phone in the house. Once arrived, they don’t meet the house owner but they hear his voice recorded while he accuses them of several homicides still unpunished, for which they would pay with their lives. From this moment on, they will start to get killed one by one. Only two of them will save themselves: Vera Clyde and Hugh Lombard, who didn’t commit the crime Owen accused them of, since they were mistakenly called to the house.

Digitmovies presents Jesus Franco’s “Count Dracula” (aka “Il conte Dracula”) OST, on CD & LP. Our series “Bruno Nicolai for Jess Franco” comes back, years after, with this divine soundtrack composed and directed by Bruno Nicolai. Although the film was released in theaters in 1970, it was only in 1982 that Edipan released a LP record (CS 2013) containing twenty stereo tracks selected by the author. In 1994 that same material was released on CD (cds 2502). Thanks to the stereo master tapes of the original recording session, one unpublished track were discovered. The soundtrack opens with Dracula's theme called “Processo”, epic and suggestive piece with the intervention of the Hungarian harpsichord played by Leonida Torrebuono, which is then brought back in several tracks, such as “Sparviero”, “Incubi” and “Magia”. Dramatic music takes turns with classical music, like “Concerto variato”. This edition is a new chapter in the ever growing discography of Maestro Nicolai, a musician much loved by his fans all over the world. Ltd to 300 copies

LA Dama Rossa Uccide Sette VOLTE—The Red Queen Kills Seven Times—blurs the line between thriller and horror. The cult success it enjoys can be attributed to its aesthetics that encapsulate the essence of the Italian thriller. Bruno Nicolai’s score for The Red Queen Kills Seven Times flawlessly brings together the pop and underground music sensitivity of the 1970s with the gothic nuances of the plot thanks to a clever use of harpsichords. The album is part of CAM Sugar’s Paura, a series of standalone soundtrack releases that follow the same-titled compilation which explores rare and unreleased horror gems from the label archive. This new limited 50th anniversary edition of this cult, sought-after soundtrack—a masterpiece of Italian Giallo cinema—is fully remastered from original tapes, includes two bonus tracks and is destined to become a staple for the collectors of the genre and for the fans of the golden age of Italian and horror cinema, making it an essential release of Record Store Day 2022.

Four Flies are proud and honoured to release the first vinyl reissue of Bruno Nicolai’s outstanding original score for GEMINUS, a 1969 Italian TV mini-series directed by Luciano Emmer and starring Walter Chiari, Alida Chelli, and Ira von Fürstenberg.
Originally released under Italian label Gemelli, Nicolai’s soundtrack has been remastered from the original master tapes and comes in a glossy, tip-on style jacket featuring the restored original cover artwork, as well as extended liner notes by film critics Francesco Cesari and Roberto Curti.
Bruno Nicolai composed and directed an eclectic score that brings together different music genres and influences, from 60s beat, psych, and prog rock to baroque and experimental music. He did not hesitate to mix classical forms and structures with new instruments
and remarkable, eccentric arrangements.

In ‘Giano’ (Janus), the interplay between a distorted electric guitar and a hypnotic harpsichord creates a strange, somewhat troubling ambience.

The delicate, celestial voice of Edda Dell'Orso leaves its unique emotional imprint on the most lyrical piece in the soundtrack, ‘Tema Barocco’ (Baroque Theme).
The main theme ‘Il cielo cade’ (The Sky Is Falling) features a luxurious arrangement and stunning orchestration enhanced by enchanting vocal harmonies sung by ‘I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni’.

In other pieces, such as ‘Larve’ (Larvas), ‘Il sognatore’ (The Dreamer), ‘Eclisse di luna’ (Moon Eclipse), ‘Visioni’ (Visions), ‘Catacombe’ (Catacombs), and ‘Notti romane’ (Roman Nights), expressive and experimental solo passages played by instruments such as the vibraphone, sitar, harmonica, or percussions, contribute to the sombre, mysterious atmosphere of the score as a whole.
Limited edition, 500 copies worldwide.
