Takuro Okada The Near End, The Dark Night, The County Line

Takuro Okada, known for his reissues of Hiroshi Yoshimura and Les Rallizes Dénudés, is set to release his compilation album The Near End, The Dark Night, The County Line on March 7 via the LA-based label "Temporal Drift." This album is a collection of guitar-focused recordings from the vast archive of material Okada has accumulated at home over the past 10 years.

While Okada’s previous works have featured renowned collaborators such as Haruomi Hosono, Nels Cline, Sam Gendel, and Carlos Niño, this release emphasizes his solo musicianship, with a particular focus on his primary instrument, the guitar. The album showcases his exceptional ability to extract strange and beautiful tones from the guitar, blending elements of ambient, Americana, and psychedelic music.
