Slip My Soul Where A Sweet Sunday brings together four versions by Fundación Tony Manero in charge of three projects from the Catalan jazz scene: The Gramophone All Stars Big Band, The Changes and ·I·. At the hands of these interpreters, the songs by Manero (all taken from “Sweet Movimiento”, their second studio LP) wander through different spectrums of jazz. From the Jamaican-tinged ska of the Gramophone to the dragging, hip-hop groove of ·I· through the swing -more classical or more avant-garde depending on the subject- of The Changes, these four pieces prove that jazz and disco music are family. Or what is the same: that jazz has always been dance music. Hip Horns Brass Collective presents Brassvillain, a tribute to the cult album Madvillany by MF Doom and Madlib with the collaboration of Las Ninyas del Corro, Ana Tijoux, Escandaloso Xpósito and Rodrigo Laviña. The catalan brass band covers iconic songs like Figaro, Meat Grinder or All Caps, with the metallic explosion that characterizes them and the voices of some of the best artists on the current rap scene. The band also releases the instrumental medley, culminating in the resurrection of Doom through the villains of the great horror movies. Daniel Dumile, aka, MF Doom is not only a musical reference, but also the illustrations that accompanied his project have a great role in the history of hip hop. For this reason, Brassvillain is also a great graphic epic where the versatile artist Hermes LeBleu displays all his versatility. In the featurings appears Ho$$$ Benítez, one of the most renowned drummers on the hip hop scene, who has already accompanied them on their previous releases, “The Dream” and “Thunder”. The production is by Hip Horns together with one of the best bassists and musicians in our country, Tito Bonacera, making this tribute a multidisciplinary meeting point between artists who grew up with the masked hero. On the B side we have two new singles from the band, Bram! and Mulligan, in which they unleash their full potential both in composition and in execution to prove once again that they are one of the leading brass bands of the moment.

Tarquim is Pau Vidal, a young saxophonist, flutist and composer, participating in projects by great artists such as Judit Nedderman and the Sey Sisters in The Gramophone All Stars group, of which he is a member. With this new work, he presents us face to face with “Me Despido de Ti” in the intimacy of confinement, a domestic, private and solitary setting. With “Pa’ La Calle” on side B, he goes abroad to the rhythm of guaracha, a Cuban genre. Tarquim expands the wind section for the occasion. Introducing trumpet and trombone with Yuri Hernández and Albert Costa, well-known musicians who accompany artists such as Nathy Peluso. “Pa’ La Calle” is a live recording, a song without cuts, without isolated booths or different tracks. Equxtorial is born from Equatorial Guinea, where Omar’s paternal family, the Alcaide, comes from. Since he was a child, he has been inspired by African and Afro-American culture, drawing on music, painting, cultural knowledge and respect for Afro culture. From the pure Guinean tribal rhythm mixed with a collection of poems by Justo Bolekia, to the purest traditional jazz, to the hip hop & Neo-Soul that so characterizes the 90’s and 00’s. Omar seeks to mix old with modern, mainstream with underground, carnal with mental and the energy to move the skeleton, mix the relics of black music and transport them to 2022, where even today greater injustices continue to be noticed. and social and racial differences.
