After being a member of Los Angeles er pop/glam sensations The Quick, Danny Wilde met Phil Solem, and Great Buildings were born, recording an album for Columbia in 1981. Wilde and Solem continued writing together and rebranded themselves as The Rembrandts. Their eponymous 1990 debut featured the Top 15 hit “That’s Just The Way It Is, Baby,” and their work on Untitled, brought them to prominence to co-write and record the theme for a new NBC sitcom called Friends. The track topped the US Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart for eight weeks and also hit #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary and Top 40/Mainstream charts. At the peak of its popularity, the song was not available as a commercial single, therefore becoming the first song to top the Hot 100 Airplay chart without appearing on the Hot 100, but it appeared initially as a bonus track on what would be their third album, L.P. On the Billboard Hot 100, when it was later released commercially as a double A-side, it reached number 17. In Canada, the song peaked at number one for five consecutive weeks and was the most successful single of 1995. But, L.P. is more than “I’ll Be There For You.” It’s another stellar album in The Rembrandts’ catalog, hitting #23 on the Billboard Top 200. Now, L.P. returns for its 30th anniversary, for the first time on vinyl as a double-LP, pressed on Opaque Yellow vinyl.

Doc Pomus wrote hit after hit with an array of songwriting partners with Mort Shuman chief among them. Together they created a template for the sound of the late 1950s and early ’60s. Writing timeless classics covered by artists around the globe, one artist was King—Elvis Presley. Pomus/Shuman were the names on the sheet music for many a remarkable Elvis recording. “Viva Las Vegas,” “(Marie’s The Name) His Latest Flame,” “She’s Not You”—all classics. The Architect of Rock and Roll’s 1973 release returns on Sunflare colored Vinyl available for Record Store Day. Newly restored and remastered, the updated artwork contains new liner notes from Bill Dahl. Right Now!, its genesis, and recording are relatively mysterious. Per Richard’s autobiography, the set was cut in one night with Robert “Bumps” Blackwell in order to secure funds for an upcoming tour. Other than “In The Name” carrying a recording date of January, 1973, that’s all of the information we have. No songwriters are listed on the artwork, and while “Dock Of The Bay” and “Chains Of Love” looked (and are) familiar, the track “Chain Chain Chain” was in fact the Aretha Franklin classic “Chain Of Fools.” While Richard calls out musicians’ names in the recordings, who they actually are is speculation. What is known is that the album is a scorcher. Richard’s barrelhouse keyboards set the tracks jumping—running in length from under three to over eight minutes. There are soul ballads (“Don’t You Know I”), stompers (“Geraldine Jones”), and slow blues. Had Richard and Blackwell known that the release would come out as unadorned and poorly distributed as it did, they might have had reservations. But, out it came on a budget label, and was relegated to the cutout bins and never reissued until now.

Hear for the very first time, an unreleased Gerry Beckley song, “Mandy”; demos of songs from Holiday (“What Does It Matter” and “Mad Dog”), outtakes from Hearts (“Simple Life”) and alternate mixes from Hideaway (“Amber Cascades” and “Today’s The Day”). Vinyl LP pressing. 30th anniversary reissue. After being discovered by Irving Azoff, Illinois born singer-songwriter Dan Fogelberg moved to Nashville and began his recording career. His first four albums have achieved either platinum or double-platinum certification, including his fourth, Nether Lands-which included appearances by members of the Eagles, JD Souther, and flautist Tim Weisberg. Weisberg's career began as a studio musician and he released his first solo album in 1971, even appearing on The Midnight Special. In 1978, Fogelberg and Weisberg collaborated and released Twin Sons Of Different Mothers. The album featured the Top 25 hit "The Power Of Gold," and sold over a million copies. The two would continue to write and record separately, with Fogelberg logging another two gold and two double-platinum releases, until the pair reunited in 1995 to record No Resemblance Whatsoever. While the album's title and artwork playfully referenced their previous release, No Resemblance Whatsoever displayed the musical growth both Fogelberg and Weisberg had achieved and brought back to their new effort. AllMusic said "Follow-ups to albums that were as successful and acclaimed as Fogelberg and Weisberg's first collaboration often seem forced or simply don't replicate the magic of the past. This one builds on the original project and explores new musical avenues while keeping fans hoping another recording by the two will occur in the future."
