20 ALL NEW RECORDINGS from ANTI, Southern California’s original legacy punk band, that’s from the South Bay, the same neighborhood and time period as the Descendents, Circle Jerks, Black Flag and Pennywise came from, but what made ANTI different was their social political awareness. They sang about topics back then that were taboo like corrupt government and false media, patriotism and antiwar protest songs as well, songs that look at the world and its society from all different angles and perspectives. Established in 1979, ANTI was an early leader in the hardcore punk sound that was coming out Southern California at the time, and now they are back again! ANTI’s founding member, Danny Dean Phillips, along with original drummer, John McCarthy (the Alley Cats), Mitch McNally (CH3), Chris Wakula (the Homewreckers) and members from Bad Religion, Circle Jerks, Wasted Youth, Easter, Target of Demand, Agent Orange, and the Adolescents, helped to record and make “The Future is the Past” a long awaited 20 song LP, as a “ramp up”, for old and new fans who enjoy the early original west coast punk rock sound. In 1995, struggling to recover from the tragic death of their original drummer, Southern California's Gameface created their most beloved album, solidifying a place in the underground music scene. With heart-on-sleeve lyrics and infectious melodies, "Three To Get Ready" connected with fans on an emotional level, crossing genres from pop punk to emo to rock, and remains a mid-'90s classic.
