Introduced in 2011, the VEJA Esplar got its name from Brazilian NGO which brings technical support to the organic cotton farming families Veja works with in North Brazil since 2004. The VEJA Esplar sneakers are not your ordinary kicks, as they are made from organic and fair-trade cotton for the canvas lining, vegetable-tanned leather as well as wild and fairly traded rubber for the soles. Plus, these VEJA shoes are produced in a high standard International Labour Organization factory in Brazil. In addition, to make VEJA Esplar look and feel different, the design smoothly blends minimalist aesthetics with innovative technologies.
